Jesus Christ Epic!!!!!!!!! I'm DONE

What the hell possessed Epic to introduce matchmaking in Gears of War 2? I swear to god if I get matched up with another person from Mexico, UK, Spain and Australia I'm gonna spam the hell out of Epics forums. This is the most ridiculous joke of a game I've EVER played. And to be honest, I will not be supporting anymore Epic games including Gears 3. Top 10 things in Gears of War 2 that ruins this game has to be...

1) LAG LAG LAG (oh the joys of having a 5 second delay on every shot that comes out of your gun, who knew the FCC would be in charge of the online)

2) Cheating Cheating Cheating (and I'm talking about the unbelievable amounts of stand-bying going on by ranks 4's and 5's)

3) Matchmaking is AMAZINGLY BADDDDDD (the local welfare office could do a better job)

4) There's still an issue with finding matches, some times it takes 20 minutes and other times it takes 30 seconds.

5) The ranking system is a joke, ONLY "FIVE" ranks LOL? OMG, Epic is by-far the laziest dumbest developer in video game history.

6) The fanboys defending this crap...what can I say! (they'd settle for a dog poop molted Marcus Fenix action figure.)

7) The long waits for patches is so damn funny I'm still wondering what Epic is doing with all that doh they made on day 1 sales (over 2-Million copies in ONE day)??? (Perhaps Cliffy is too busy picking the color of his 2nd Lamborghini.)

8) The private rooms unable to be opened up to the public which forces us to play laggy public matches with people from "GREAT BRITAIN" and "Mexico"

9) Unable to choose matches you want to join based off of a color coded bar to indicate the lag level or latency (I guess this could be due to them going solely matchmaking...but damn wheres the choice?)

10)Last but not leas...there is no number 10 >>> the single player campaign is amazing but most people play multiplayer the most, therefore it should've received the most polish. I use to be a Gears 1 fanboy, but after going through all the problems from 1-9 on my list I realize that this is my last Gears game EVER..I will not support lazy self absorbed goons that is the people behind Epic Games!

Amen. I am right there with you. It is STUNNING how botched up Gears 2 MP is. I also was a proud fanboy of Gears 1, probably my most loved/cherished/played game. Ever.

I didn't even have high expectations for Gears 2 MP. I had high expectations for Gears 2 single player, but I didn't expect them to revolutionize MP. My goodness this game fails so hard.

Oh, and for those pathetic enough to defend this game, stop. It is bad. It is broke. The patch won't do ****.

I love the game and have no problems with the online since the last update. Only thing that sucks is the shotgun glitch. Other then that i LOVE Gears 2 online!

I hated gears1 online and imo gears2 is a HUGE improvement over gears1.

I had about 300 posts on the official Gears 2 Epic forum board, and was a fairly constructive and active member. I ended up posting a video that show the melee through walls glitch, and I said that this video is further proof that Epic has yet to demonstrate to us that they gave us a quality and polished game. It was not a flame driven post, yet I do not deny that I was negative in my comments towards Epic.

I got banned. That was pretty much the final straw for me. And to think just HOW MUCH I loved Gears of War 1 and Epic. I really wish to see this game tank because products like this should not be released and actions (or lack there of) like this should not be accepted by gamers or the gaming industry, SPECIALLY when there are polished and quality games out such as Halo, CoD, L4D, R2, etc.

The multiplayer is ok its not broken to the extent your talking about. The singleplayer campaign is great and while I do hope they release a patch soon for Multiplayer its not a gamebreaker for me only problem I have is matchmaking I agree with you there they really should have found a better way same thing with banjo kazooie the match making in that sucked as well. As a matter of fact Im starting to think I mightwork on my PC some more and go back to playing that onlin e overall console online just seems like a pain in the butt considering on PC I just pick a server and go.

Honestly, I've maybe played the game once in the last month and while I agree that the multiplayer has issues, I think some people are exaggerating the truth just a little. In my opinion the multilayer is bad, I just don't like the new changes and I was a big original Gears of War player, but it's definitely not broken to the point where it's unplayable. It might just be my experiences with it though, because I haven't had too many issues with the matchmaking, bugs, cheaters, etc.Lanezy

Hang on, lemme check something..... Yep NEVER had a problem matchmaking in Gears 2. Consider the possibility you have a horrible connection, or are lvl 1 and thus matched with low ping low lvl people.

Good riddance, even thou im sure you will buy Gears 3 anyways.

i find these kinds of posts strange, i dont see why people dont just trade in a game they dont like, but instead they post massive rants about why they hate it like it makes any difference :S
