Ok, so here's my dilema, I am currently looking for a new game and would like to get an rpg. But the problem is, I like the look of JRPGs and I like their storylines, but I don't like turn-based action that much and I would rather have a game where I can just run up to something, and kill it without having to wait 4 minutes inbetween each attack. However, it seems like every JRPG out there is turn-based and non of the WRPGs senses of style appeal to me.

So is there a JRPG out there with a fighting system where it's just running up to stuff and killing it and not turn-based? Or is there a WRPG that looks like a JRPG and has a decent storyline?

 Thank You.

Tales of Vesperia is the game for you. It does not have turn-based gameplay and is not slow. The battle system is like a hack n slash game with magic spells and combos. It's my favorite game on any system this year.

Eternal Sonata is turned based but its not the conventional turned based system I would explain but its easyer to just tell you to download the demo from live so yeah download the demo from live there is also a demo for tales.

idk, but I wouldn't go with tales, it looks too cartoony to me much like the dbz games, your just better off getting infinite undiscovery or fable 2, I really like both of these games and the graphics is a plus for me....

Infinite undiscovery is a good game. Not the greatest JRPG out there but it might interest you.

Fable 2 is short but fun though it has glitches. Infinite undiscovery is like a 7.4 game. It's not that great but it's good and has a fun combat system.

Alright, thanks. I'll go out and rent them both then I guess. =)

ah I see, well if funding is the problem, then I would suggest a game that would take up your time over all and that game so far seems to be lost oddessey even though it is turn bassed, you would easily get 70-100/plus/over on it.. but since you don't like that sort of thing, you don't have many choices in what your looking for, its either tales or infinite, but probably infinite since your on a budget.
