I would like to say it was nothing but a bunch of cheap gayness. Its a shame that I had to play cheap to stop cheap crap from happening. Here are my top five gay things that happenend during Veteran.

1. Douchebag killed me with a shoty. AND THE SHOT WENT THROUGH HIS BODY WITHOUT HIM LOOKING AT ME.

2. These guys are perfect shots. I was getting killed through the smoke on Heat.

3. They can also throw grenade perfectly too.

4. The enemies were camping on No fight in the War room. I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP.

5. Damn dogs.

Its a shame devs have to make a game cheap just to make it hard. I bet they had a hard time playing on Veteran as well. Black has a Hard mode with no Health packs if I recall correctly and it was not such a pain like COD4 was. I am just glad its over with.

CoD4's Veteran mode is far more legit than previous CoD ones. I beat CoD4 on Veteran for my first playthrough. I tried the same with CoD3. No chance in hell... couldn't get past the first firefight.

CoD4's Veteran mode is hard, but it's not THAT bad.

All the COD games are hard for the wrong reasons.

Respwaning enemies are dumb.

Stop using them to make combat feel "intense".

I agree about playing cheap to win cheap.. it kinda ruined it.. there was many moments when I felt like I was playing the game rather than playing a game.. if that uhh.. made sense.

Like I was playing the spawns, and positioning and stuff more than I was actually playing the game. It ruined the immersion to have tactics of "How do I get over there to stop the spawns over here?" rather than "How do I kill those guys without dying?"

Another thing you should add to your list is the infinite grenades they get to throw.

Wait til you attempt the plain jump level, if you already haven't. I can't beat it yet...and I'm pretty pissed about it. :P

I've gotten 1000/1000 for COD4 and Veteran was mostly trial and error. Even though you get killed randomly you just have to keep trying and trying.

I can understand why you are experiencing difficulties, but as said before its all just trial and error and I for one think that the single player is quite enjoyable... even on veteran. Ive got 1000/1000 points for COD4 and these cheap things you describe are just ways to make it harder. If you can't handle enemies with perfect shots and perfect grenades, just put the difficulty down a notch. It doesnt say veteran for nothing you know....

I agree, the game is unnecessarily frustrating, but I've come to realize that this is a good thing. I myself spent a good 6 hours trying to beat NFitWR. Just take a break like I did. I only played multiplayer for 1 month. When I tried again, I got it on the first try, and it took me only 1 hour to do Mile High Club on Veteran. If you don't get it in the first 10 minutes of trying, take a break.

haha golden stuff. Very true also

No fight in the war room was very very tricky indeed, especially with those campers!

Have you done the very last level in the aeroplane, as well?

I thought Veteran mode was relatively easy except for No Fighting in the War Room and the second Chernobyll level. I didn't even bother with Mile High Club though.

I passed Vet on my first playthrough. It was tough, with a bit of luck and a lot of trial and error.

Not as bad as CoD3 though. I beat that on Vet first time, but because I used level select to get some achievements on an easier difficulty, I didn't get Grizzled Veteran (150 GS) so I had to do it again. I nearly cried.

I beat everything in CoD4 on veteran except for Mile High Club and it is just killing me that I have 980/1000 Gp. Also definitely the four hardest levels in CoD4 that I had the most trouble with was No fighting in the War Room, One Shot One Kill, Mile High Club, and Heat ,but the only reason I had trouble on Heat was because I wasn't aware that you had 10 air-strikes to use.

Oh.. I've played COD3 on the hardest mode and I thought it was easy.. :? at least compared to COD2!! Damn I'm so glad I completed COD2 on veteran... I hated almost every single moment of that playthru... I don't even like COD2.. But I HAD to play it thru on veteran, just my perfectionism.. :P

Only gotten through half the missions on vet. Better to do in COD4 compared to previous versions as the friendly AIs are a bit better in actually helping.

I played through COD4 on veteran as well. But not without alot of aggravation.
