hey guys, so i got an xbox 360 for christmas, gears of war was the only game ive had for 3 months. i bought Dead Rising earlier tonight, and i cant read a single word of text
apparently its a big issue im going to return it tommorow for another game
Hm, im curious to what it looks like on a sd tv.... I heard it was bad, but to be illegible... thats funny.
Anyway, I dont think its worth returning it for. I mean, you have ears, use them. I also reccomend buying a hdtv when you have enough. If you really cant stand it, get r6v or something.

which game? Lost Planet? phonghua
When the game was made it was optimized for HDTVs, meaning that when the image is produced on an HDTV the words become more legible.

its not well worth it when i dont know what the missions are and where to go capcom lost a lot of points with me tonight Perhaps Guide? I plan to buy a flat screen, do you know if that could clear up the blurriness?
The game is really fun once you level Frank to a point where you can one shot zombies with a baseball bat. Once you learn to use the pointer you won't really need the text...although I'll admit it is a bit annoying. Hang in there, because there aren't many other good games right now.
Capcom does not develop for sdtvs on the 360. Thats why the text is hard to read. Dont buy Lost planet if you dont like tiny text eitheir, You wont be able to see the score in MP very well.

Do you honestly think that someone who had to save up for Dead Rising can save up for an HDTV? Those things aren't cheap.

Because money is tight and have a super expensive tv in my room would make lil sense.

change the screen settings to widescreen, and squint really hard, buy and RGB scart or buy the VGA cable and hook it up to your Monitor, don't trade it in!
thats right, use your tv monitor, you can buy a special kit to hook the box to a monitor. well worth it. nearly everyone has a monitor in there house so you can get good graphics anywhere, i can even take mine to work with me now i have it, i just cant get live there, I was in the exact same boat as you were. I cant remember if i played it the way it was or what. i was very upset tho If you cant afford the cable just find the gamestop guide to the game and write down each mission. lots are spoken its just the saving people thats the problem. you wont know when the poeple to save are avaialble. but you can complete the main story line with out the writing easily

It looks pretty bad. When I first got my 360 I had it hooked up to my old 36' SDTV and it was a little tough to read the text. I have since hooked my xbox up to my Dell 24' screen. You would not believe the difference. The words looked bigger on the smaller 24 "monitor because I have it running at 1900x1200 via vga cable. As for Dead Rising, it is a descent enough game. I would keep it. I did :)
Here's what you do. Go to your tv menu and go to picture. The picture on your tv should be very high, bring it down to about 20-15 (as apposed to 80-100). It will look as if you had left your Xbox awhile and it went into dimmer mode. Everything will be darker butt the wordswill be legible.
