Just Bought FF13 for 22pound, is it worth it? What do you think of FF13?

Well, as you can tell I have just bought this game for the above price, is it worth it and what are the good & bad points about this game? Tell me what you think (: Cheers..

High production value, gorgeous graphics, good voice acting, uneven/confusing story that you could care less about, interesting paradigm shift gameplay element, but overall repetitive combat. FF13 is more in the same vein as MGS4. Lots of cutscenes, movie dynamic. It definitely stretches away from traditional JRPG games doing away with heavy World Maps, a ship to travel in, explorable towns, etc. Oh, and it's extremely linear. Overall, I would give it 8.5/10. It's a solid addition to the Final Fantasy series.

my general summary of this game would be

• great graphics
• great sound/voice acting
• terrible story (confusing and pointless)
• boring and repetitive combat, that gives you very little actual control
• extremely linear environments/no exploring of any kind

all in all i wouldnt recommend it as i was very disapointed myself, it is no where near as good as previous games in the series, but thats just my opinion

It may not be the best final fantasy game, but I definitely think it's worth a play-through. The main story is very linear until Chapter 10 / 11, which I think was.. 20 or so hours in. But I've really enjoyed the game. The combat does still take some strategy at higher levels. It has lasted me 60 hours so far, although i've paused to do some grinding. :)
