Just got a 360...Any recommendations on a good coop games?

Hey all....finally got myself a 360 and im wondering if there are any good coop games to play on just one system..no link or online stuff..just some good 2-3 player on one console...

Im already getting Halo 3..but any others?

Graphics are amazing, game-play will keep you and your buddies on the edge of your seat the entire time, may even scare the heck out of ya if its late enough. :)

As far as Halo 3, its junk. Buy Halo 2 used for 20 bucks some place, its the same thing.

good co op - perfect dark zero seams to be the only one i found to be actually decent in that department but if you played the original dont expect much in the form of alot of stuff cause sadly this is a prequal

halo 3 is one i think gears is also co op im not to sure i havent played it yet

Gears is a good co-op game, so are Guitar hero 2 & 3, Halo 3 is a descent game co-op

1st of all the halo haters need to shut up and stop presenting their opinions as facts- blood does not make a game good. And Halo can be very intense with 4 players, the meta-game and a few skulls turned on. IMO it's more fun than the standard live games. (BTW, in order to understand the ending to Halo 3, reading the books helps and then you need to think.)

2nd what everyone else said; Gears is awesome with a buddy.

And finally, if you're into music games, there's also Rock Band or GH3. Haven't played either but I know I'll eventually get RB.

Gears of War. It's ony 2-player co-op, but it's still really fun.

And you already said you were getting Halo 3. Best game on the 360 for co-op.

What ever you do, don't get Kane and Lynch. It has a great story but "IMO" the gameplay sucks. But I'll agree with others. Gears of War, Halo 3, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Rainbow Six: Vegas. Call of Duty 4 seems to be the best online multiplayer game I've played so far.

Halo 3 isn't at all junk - It's a well polished game with lots of variety. Anyone who claims Halo 3 is the same as Halo 2 either didn't play 2 or didn't play 3. Throwing down barrier shields, and grav lift plus a fewnew weapons/grenades/vehicles make it the best Halo yet. Fun fun co-op witha scoring modefor making co-op more hectic and fun. Plus 4 player co-op!!

Specials (Grav lift, Radar jammer, Bubble shield, Trip mine, Power Drain) Weapons (Gravity hammer, Spiker, Spartan Laser, and the return of the Halo 1 assault rifle!) New spike grenade andthe newvehicles, the Hornet (a humanflyer)and the four wheelin' mongoose

Probably forgetting something but you get the idea, thereis plenty different from Halo 2 and 3.

Gears of War is cool in much the same way as Halo multiplayer, Gears of War is nifty because if you or your partner fall down (a period of bleedout occurs before you die in Gears of War - a state where your character is disabled and bleeding and needs to be helped by an ally or after a short time you'll be finished off by whomever brought you down or by bleeding too long) each of you can revive the other, which is good for managing nasty situations but sometimes makes the game more difficult.

Rainbow Six hasco-op replay value with a mode not only for the single-player campaign to be played co-op but another mode called Terrorist Hunt where you select a multiplayer map that will be filled with a selected amount of Terrorists and then cleared by you and your partner. Endlessly replayable and a straight up time-killer.

Marvel is great for a more casual co-op game, it's a little more arcade in terms of gameplay--but there is depth to it. Lots of beat-em up action and cool effets. RPG elements make this a fun game that can really hold your attention and it does up to 4 player co-op which is really cool. Very simple, button bashy

Don't forget Crackdown only has co-op only on xbox live, not same screen, which doesn't qualify.

I assume by removing 90% of the blood they wanted it to be more tactical, but then they removed all the variants and released it with stupid variants along with power-ups like radar jammer that make the game really STUPID. They then released Team Hardcore, but not as it was known and loved, but instead as a screwed up newb version with Radar.Stupid on-line variants like VIP and a horrible campaign with little to no story and a conclusion that makes no sense.All in all Halo 3 is the biggest disappointment of the year.
