Just got a xbox 360 pro today!

I just got my first non-gift, pure earend console today with my own money, a 360 pro, oblivion goty edition (i had the normal one for pc but on low/medium settings so figured it would be worth it), and halo 3!

any tips for someone who has no idea how to use a 360 and what's this deafult xbox live silver membership how do i use it and how long is it good for?

also is the 360's warranty 3 years from microsoft?

The silver allows you to download demos, arcade games, music videos, ect ect. Some of the stuff is free and some you have to pay. Silver is a free service forever. Once you connect to Live, you'll have to setup a gamertag and all that fun info.

The 3 year warranty covers the RROD, I believe all other problems are just 1 year.

silver is free u can just dwonload and chat with friends. gold membership is $5 a month (60 a year) u can play online.

u get 1 year warranty on everything and then 3 years on red ring of death. the green circle on the 360 turns red u can't play ur 360. but i don't think u should worry because microsoft has fixed this problem.
