hi it just retured from germany and when i turn it on it keeps making this beeping sound it also happens when i open the tray, does anyone know what it is?
I just googled it, but is it still fully functional, like can you play your games on it and not have it freeze?? most of the people that have had this happen said that it would freeze while playing games
yes, my xbox hakes a beep nosie when you open and close the tray, it also vibrates and my xbox is a jasper brand new. its just scaning the drive to check if anything is in the drive or not. its normal really. i wouldnt worry, if you are concerned you can install games to your HDD which keeps the xbox quieter and cooler.

Well I can tell you right now I have a jasper as well, and I have never heard my drive beep or vibrate....

Well I can tell you right now I have a jasper as well, and I have never heard my drive beep or vibrate....
Same here! I have a new 60 gig Japser unit and I've never heard it make any beeping noises.
