Is there any other way to fix this than to send it to MS for repair?.....The warranty doesnt cover this ring issue, and I already tried connecting and disconnecting things from the console, but no luck....=-(

What if the AV cable is not the problem?...Look, here's how it happened. I turned on the console and then launched Halo 3 on multiplayer, I played for about 5 minutes into a match, when suddenly static lines appeared all over the screen, I rebooted the console and the E74 error came up.
I thought E74 was the Hard Drive?
Anyways your best bet is to use www.xbox.com/support and search out your error and the listed solutions. Normally they have alternative listed other then sending it in.
APOLLOCJD
E68, E69 and E79 are the HDD

Ahhh thanks, 79 was the one I was thinking of.
Im actually wishing it was the RROD problem, so that MS could have fixed it for free. I'm pissed that the warranty only covers that issue, even tought they know that the 360 is faulty and not just RROD.:evil:Art_424
Kill your console and then they'll do it then :P
