[QUOTE="Jurassic85"]Halo Reach is lame. The reason that they chose to give out this game is so that they can try to rebuild the community. vashkeyHow do you rebuild one of the biggest game communities? You make it as big as it was when the game released, that's how. Anyone not willing to admit that the Reach community has dwindled is in denial or on some serious meds.

It's the most popular 360 game that doesn't have the words Call of Duty in the title, anyone not willing to admit that is in denial or on some serious meds.

Check out what the beta instructions ask you to do. "Halo Reach for one hour". "Play as many other games from your personal collection". http://www.lazytechguys.com/news/xbox-360-preview-disks-leaked/

Haha, this isn't about comparison, this is about sheer numbers. Frankly, Call of Duty is available on multiple platforms, so its being ahead of Halo is not an excuse, but rather proof of my point. Halo is exclusive to xbox but is being beaten out by a franchise that is not only on xbox. If you can't understand that I'm sorry, because it just can't be put into more simple terms. You can't say "Halo's community isn't in danger, the only thing ahead of it is COD!" That's not a valid argument. The rate at which Reach's community has decreased is alarming. ESPECIALLY when you consider that a new halo game only comes out every few years, as opposed to COD which is an annual franchise.

I don't think Activision would appreciate MS giving out free copies of their games either.

They most likely gave it out mainly because it's a game whos copyright they own. You're looking into it too much.[QUOTE="vashkey"][QUOTE="Jurassic85"] You make it as big as it was when the game released, that's how.
