Yeah, sucks heh? I got it too 3 days ago. Just call in Microsoft 1-800-4-MYXBOX.

Or, check on the official xbox page, you might not have the same problem as everyone else. They show you what to do and check before you call microsoft.

What happens if I just ignore it and just turn it back on?

What? You can't "ignore" it. It's the 360 itself. The RROD means you 360 got an internal system failure, therefore will not let you play on your 360.....unless you have something else.

Well my firend did, and he just pressed the power button and it started up. It works perfectly since that happened. Is there something you could do yourself by accident to cause it? So it doesn't mean a hardware failure?

I'm on my 2nd X360. My first one got the RROD, and it sucked having to wait for it to return from repair.

yea, like they said, call 1-800-4699269
