:( Was just playing R6V2 10 minutes ago or so and i got the rrod, i usually wouldnt mind waiting for repairs but gtaIV is so fu**ing close!!!! WHY YOU STUPID XBOX :( It did the same thing before halo3 came out except it didnt stay broken. Well for one thing im not sending my xbox in this close, im willing to spend $700 and get an elite. What do you guys think a die-hard gta fan should do?
I say - CALL THEM NOW! It's the beginning of the week, so things should be speedy (4 business days remaining). If you're lucky, you'll get the Xbox back before or slightly after the 29th. Be sure to tell "Chapal" or "Vajramani" (MS' Famous Tech Support) that you need it done ASAP.
Of course, you could always buy a temporary console (an Arcade unit will do) and use your HDD. Take it back to the store once yours comes in (if it's possible...).

If you really cant wait, buy a ps3. Send your xbox in get it fixed for free and have both systems....gta4 is on the ps3 as well
hurry and call them, you should get it back by the time gta comes out, worst case scenario is that you'll probably miss a day or two after the games comes out
What an awesome idea. This way you can have both systems. But if you strictly want to play GTA on 360, whether it's because of fanboyism or achievement or whatever, then send it in. Keep waiting until GTA 4 comes out, if you don't have your 360 back by then, then just buy a new. When you're 360 comes back, just return the one you just bought (probably an arcade version). At Bestbuy or wherever, just say "I'm not satisfied" or some other excuse and they'll take it back.
