Just how bad can all this backlash & negative response to the Xbox one becom

They cant win. I had a few of my close buds basically attack me and make fun of me for not buying a PS3. Its just fans of the consoles stating their opinion in a brash way. Its on the same level as an atheist laughing when they see someone mention something about GOD, its just how it is

Don't worry about MS and the Xbox One. Both will be fine.

MS got a reality check when they tried to turn us gamers into 2nd class citizens, so for some people it's still fresh in their minds! The main thing is that they have corrected their mistakes so it's time for all the cry-babbies to move on.

As a proud Xbox one preorderer. I am just a bit concerned with all the negative attention X1 continues to recieve. I understand they came out of the gate rough but, they got rid of just about everything us gamers were complaining about. Even so, people continue to bash them. It just seems that no matter what move Microsoft makes people are still really pissed. Do you think that in the end X1 will be a successful console? Or are enough people still so mad that it will not get enough support and fail? I just want to be sure that the system will be supported for a long time to come. It should be noted that i have also preordered a PS4. So, i'm not a fanboy of either system i will enjoy the hell out of both of them. gamesrule79

Mainly because there's still alot of sony fan boys complaining, but people could still be a little made with the whole thing even though the policies have changed. I think after awhile and good games are released people will calm down and be very open to it.

They should be forgiven, i didn't say a dam thing about fogetting what they tried to do!:P Even though I'll be getting the XB1 sometime in the future, I'll still be keeping an eye out for any kind of shady business that might creep up!

Can you blame gamers? Microsoft pretty much committed suicide reputation-wise with the Xbox One. My question is, why are supporters of the Xbox One so quick to justify their pre-order by bashing the PS4. I'm not saying you're an example, but this is something I have noticed. If people hate Xbox One, who cares? If you like it, go ahead and buy it. You're not a salesman for Microsoft. You owe them absolutely nothing. The same can be said for Sony and Nintendo fanboys. Or fanboys in general. Brand loyalty is one of the stupidest concepts in existence.

I agree while PS4 is a shitty outdated PS3 upgrade the Xbox One is a revolutionary piece of hardware that will change gaming forever! With superior games such as Titanfall, the cool new features such as the kinect as well as the cool TV features, the Xbox One is as much an all round entertainment system as it is a console, and that is only a good thing! Keep in mind that 90% of the XBOX ONE bashing you here is coming from SystemWars PS4 trolls. Don't listen to them. I find it hard npot to argue with them, but they are just trying to stir the pot. The XBOX ONE is going to be a magnificent piece of entertainment hardware. ShoTTyMcNaDeS

The bottom line here is....If you don't want an XBOX ONE then dont get one. Go play the PS4. Those of us who are getting an XBOX ONE are quite excited about its features and games. ShoTTyMcNaDeS

There needs to be huge negativity around bad decisions that will have an impact on the product people want. MS are only thinking of the $$$ instead of what customers actually want. Reworking the layout for more ads, selling things the kinect records to third parties, forcing you to go online to be able to upload saved content by making you do day one patches for every game to get them to work offline..Rattlesnake_8

I dislike fanboys as much as anyone but it should not put you off buying a console. I could say the same about xbox fans but it's not them that have made X1 less appealing than PS4 it's MS and all the screw ups since the reveal. The weaker hardware, MS could have put more into it they're not exactly short on money and also the way MS reps with they're stupid statements and the whole PRISM thing could not have come at a worse time. mandatory kinect puts me off too and the higher price. 

Basically X1's problems is down to MS they need to sort themselves out and quickly.

As one poster stated.. once the system is released all the negative press will go away (for the most part).  My biggest concern is the diregard for all things other than the U.S.  The Xbone is seemingly a VERY US centric console with every other region taking the backseat.  Now I know the XB/360 sold pretty well in Europe but were "failures" in Japan.  However M$ still needs to cater to that audience if they want this system to be a success.

I think people on this thread could be setting themselves for a rude awakening because there is a distinct possibility Xbox 1 might not get off the ground at lunch. The backlash, $100 more, NSA spy vibe and being less powerful could sink this thing. Master_Live

I changed my pre order from a ps4 to an xbox one and i dont regret it for one tiny bit.

i'm still a huge 360 fan, to be honest, PS3 never appealed to me. The controller really really sucks. 

But im going for the PS4 this time. 

Firstly, i do like the xbox one, nothing wrong with it. The wrong part is with the guys forcing kinect uppon us. I'm not a huge fan of that. "yeah you can turn it off". Whatever, before they even made a 180 turn, they were practically forcing us to use the kinect, be online all the time etc etc. 

I lost faith for Xbox. And its killing me, because i **** love the controller. Than i decided to put a comparision what games i like.

I never liked Crackdown, Amped, (Now i know there are alot mor Exc. for both consoles, but those are a couple of the games that intrests me). 

I noticed that the Exclusive is almost more and better on the Sony console. However Multiplats worked 90% better on X360 ( I played alot of BF, fifa and CoD).

So that was my choice for this gen. But i think the Next gen, will be a better one for Sony, cause the Hardware between both consoles are similiar and Alot of dev. has gone out and said that the PS4 is great because Sony is listnening to what the Devs wants (And believe me as a 3D artist, this is huge. A Big company listnening to us!!). But i have a hard time trusting MS after all bullshit they announced. And the pricetag is still a ??? for me. I mean to be honest. They are forcing the kinect on us for a 100 USD more. why buy something 60-80 % wont use at all (estimated guess, 8/10 will probebly not care for it, more than just in the beginning of the console cycle).
