I was just playing Gears of War (PC) online and one of my opponents was rather good, I clicked on his gamercard to see what else he plays and was amazed to see that his gamerscore is 164K! I looked him up on 360 Voice and it turns out he has the tenth highest gamerscore in the world, and his name is tim bbbbbb. Pretty impressive if you're into that sort of thing. He was actually pretty good at Gears as well!
he is probably really good but achievements can not tell a lot on a gamer ... games like avatar, CSI, early 2K games, King kong, NBA Homecourt etc.aretoo easy for achivements and a gamerscore can be pretty easy to boost but anyway great score !!
the no life argument is pathetic, to each one his own past time... spending 3-4 hours a day on a car, on a puzzle or tv show is not better but socially acceptable ! I play around 15 hours a week and I have other activities !

To all you people that say the highest gamerscores have no life... only one of the top 20 is a no-lifer (over the age of 18 with no job)... the rest of them are paid to play games/play games competitively for in my opionion extremely good wages(250k+ USD/year) or they are groups of people attempting to break guiness records and it isn't just one person, but a group of several players...
i have had a xbox 360 fo about 3 years and all together threw my gamertags i have about 35k gamerscore and beaten everygame i have gotten he probably just boosts for achievements and plays avatar and the early 2k games for easy achievamables but yeah ^x2 is probably right paid 2 play or a world record or somethin but still i saw a guy with 12 games played all achievemant and yet he had gamerscore for games he did not have wtf ?phychojuggalo

Or he has a gamefly account, so he can just keep getting easy achievement games every week or so. With that, you could easily pull it off at only about 3-4 hours of gaming a day. Which is pretty average for people here I'd say.
