Just got my 360 today.
Got Kameo
and Saints Row with it.
Im already loving Saints Row.
Havent tried Kameo yet.
My 360 is pretty hot and the guy at EB Games said to leave it on for 6 hours for the first use?
What can i do to cool it down.
Ive already put a standing fan focused on it.

all 360's are hot, including mine, but mine hasnt died yet after a year of use and hotness, so i wouldnt get all worried about it, though leaving it on for an extended period of time does tend to make it freeze up (at least mine)

Just keep it out in the open. Don't put a whole lot of clutter around it (games, books, whatever). Give it room to breath, so also don't put it in a cabinet (i keep mine on top of one). I've heard of people propping there's up (horizontally!) on two, three at most, lego "pillars" to let air flow underneath as well as on top.

Give it ample ventilation, then the gaming session durations don't matter. If it isn't well ventilated, the 360 will heat up and will freeze. Successive freezing will potentially lead to future hardware and software problems.

open space is key. I have a launch unit, never used a cubby to hold it. I use mine horzontal. Bought some real stiff styrophome

Always keep any console below any other electrical components, because heat rises. Also keep it on a hard surface and leave as much space around it as possible. Keep the power supply as far away from the 360 as possible. If you do this, you canleave the 360 on indefinelty. I routinely have the 360 running for 8 hours or more. I have left it on for as much as 12 hours during Oblivion marathons.

Welcome to 360 land!
