Fyi for those who pre-ordered Fallout 4 through Xbox One, I just received my free Fallout 3 digital game code for the 360, so you may get it soon too, if you haven't already.
Wouldn't you think that most of the people would already have Fallout 3? I mean, it's a 7 years old game. Oh yeah, I still haven't got my key for my fallout 3 lol
Yes, I have the game too, but it's still nice this bonus and now I have a digital copy, I don't need the disc anymore. I'll certainly dabble in it a few times for some missing achievements prior to Fallout4's release.....which is probably one of my most anticipated games of all time.....I'm still processing the fact that in 5 months I'll be playing it. Also, this is a good way to introduce newcomers to the series, not everyone played it already.
It took 7 days for me to get mine, so I guess it depends when you pre-ordered.
Is it actually available on BC yet? Because I'll wait until then, if the deal is still good after then I'll wait, I want to see its performance to make sure it isn't too bad. I figure it's the base game too, no DLC... well, BC doesn't support DLC yet anyways (to my knowledge), that's too bad.
If you read the article that this site posted Fallout 3 would be ready to play with BC for Preview members. FYI I have preview and can't play yet with my code. I gave my 360 to a friend after I got my Xone. Was really excited to play fallout 3 again after I read the article. Gamespot should really do research before saying something that is false.
@aberryman12: I know exactly what you mean, and multiple people(including myself) commented on that article saying that it was false, yet as far as I know, it was never corrected(for the few days that it was on their main page).
What is known, is Fallout 3 will become BC at some point(as per the F4 store description), we just do not know when yet....hopefully it is soon, to give people like you time to play before the release of F4.
That is kind of disappointing the DLC is not included, some of the expansion packs were really good (I can not remember the names of them, but the island story, the world war simulator, and other parts spring to mind). I do hope they offer this game at retail and that its not a Xbox Store exclusive as the price of it on the UK store is kind of way expensive (£60, to put that into perspective, Fallout 4 can be pre-ordered for around £40-44 online for Xbox One from most retailers, also The Witcher 3 was just over £40 on the Xbox store to pre-order so it is not a common theme with the store).
Theres really no reason for me to preorder yet if I can't play Fallout 3 on X1. Kind of a lame bonus if the feature does not work. The lack of DLC is also a bit of a buzz kill.
@ryanweinmann: I bought fallout3 but never played it. I got rid of all my 360 games long ago when I switched to digital games with the Xbox one. So it's a nice little bonus for me. Im looking forward to finally getting around to playing it when I get my code.
