The disc is seemingly spotless. I just finished Tales of Vesperia (awesome game btw, a little dissapointed by the abrupt ending), and popped in Fable II.

My 360 won't read the disc. Sometimes it comes up as "Mixed Media Disc", and other times I can hit play game, where my 360 will tell me it is unreadable.

The disc seems very clean. Anyone have this problem? My 360 will play anything else.

Is there ever an E74 error when it says the disc can't be read?

I suggest saving the game to your hard drive and then try it, either that or you may have a corrupt save on your hard drive or you may need to clear your memory cache.

I had the same problem with oblivion as well but once i saved it to my hard drive i received less disk read errors almost to the point of fixing the problem altogether.

there may be a small hairline crack coming outward from the center of the disc.

Go back to Blockbuster (or wherever you got it from) tell them it didn't work and they should give you a different copy.

Great game btw.

Fallout 3 does that to me all the time. And I didn't rent it. I bought it brand new. And it's spotless. Oh well.
