from what I read ati made the reference graphics card but microsoft engineers changed the specs of the original supposedly to make it better, that's what I read in a tech site, and look at the results
The thing about technology is there is such a high deman for high quality technology that it advances too quickly then smaller cheaper companies come along and try to reach the same technological level but then newer technologiy comes out that they have to adapt to all in the same time that production and parts have not advanced nearly enough to keep up with technology if you were to look in the production phase it would seem very primitive. microsof tis just a company they dont make any thing except for money. that being said theve still realised there is market for a descent platform the 360 but they are still troubled by the same technological problems as everyone else being a company does not give them a power to make things perfect
just joking ther man, the new 360's dont die due to the RRod as frequently as the old ones. but they still die. kingobaid
ya but still shouldent it be there main priority to try to fix it.. i would have prob bought a new 360 sooner then i got my ps3 if it wasent for my first one dieing...:(

oh and btw Sony's PS2 was the juggernaut of last gen consoles. In fact there are still new PS2 games coming out... so Sony is just going through some hard times with the PS3, which is what the PS2 went through when it first came out.

In my opinion and many other peoples opinions the 360 is worth buying even though it has some issues, just like people who buy the PS3 or Wii. They all have issuses, but you get over them because you like the entertainment it offers.
