I been waiting and trying to decide what system i want for a while. I finally decided i want a xbox 360, but as i go through the board i hear a lot about it breaking down or the 3 lights of doom or whatever. When i buy this system do i have to worry about it completely going out on me? I take good care of all my system and never had a breakdown..lol had the same ps2 since launch and it still works fine. Just dont want to buy a system thats been having problems...i know i know i know all systems have problems. Just let me know if im making a mistake.

you should buy buy a 360 is you want the best games and online service.and about the breaking down dont worry cuz the older models should be way better and if not you get one year warranty from microsoft.so their is no problem.so if you buy it don't buy warranty from the store. u dont need it.

wow really thx man. Aight im going to get one, but one more question....i hear there's a new one called a elite...but im a real casual gamer and dont really need live and stuff. I just play adventure games and stuff. So i was going to buy a core, but everyone say just buy the premium, but do i really need a hard drive for just casual games? Can the core take music or no? Because i want to hook my ZUNE to it. If i need a hard drive i will just get that premium. lol i said 1 more questions and asked more than one..my fault. lol

In regards to the above post.  If you don't get a warranty and ur 360 dies in the first year you have to ship it to MS to fix.  If you were to buy a 1 year from the store you just return it and get a new one.

well the elite has a hdmi ouput and a 120 gb. thats about it.

the premium is what most people have since it carries a 20 gb.

i think you should get the premium because some games require the harddrive like final fantasy and to play regular xbox games you need the harddrive. aswell as when gta 4 comes out its going to need a hardrive.

you dont need a harddrive to hear music but with out it you cannot save the music to your 360, you can only hear it from any device or cd.

I'd recommend the Premium.  If you get the core you have to buy a memory card.  So basically you end up spending almost as much as the premium anyways.  Also the harddrive is used to cache game content.  So there will be some performance hit if you use the core vs the premium such as longer load times, etc..

The 360 can play a good amount of original xbox games but there are still a lot that aren't compatible.

it depends where you buy it from cuz when my died i took it to the store to return it but they told me they were going to fix it and then give it back to me, it took then like 3 weeks and they ended up giving me a new one cuz they couldn't fix the one i took in.

will it tell you which ones are compatible? Or you have to find it out yourself?
