honestly I don't know why Kameo is regarded with so much esteem, I'm a pretty open-minded gamer and accepting of titles that I personally am not interested in but I really don't see whats all that great about Kameo.
Kameo was the second game I owned for the system. It was a decent game, but nothing I’ll ever play through again. It doesn’t even come close to the caliber of a Mario game. I imagine that Banjo will come closer to becoming Microsoft’s plat forming Mascot.
I think Kameo is great fun, but I agree that "Microsoft's Mario" will be Banjo, not Kameo. Besides, Kameo's more of an adventure/puzzle game hybrid... thing... rather than a straight platformer/explorer.
However, I've not played that far into Kameo, so maybe I'm misjudging it one way or the other!
Umm... yeah, I'm gonna have to disagree with you here. MS doesn't really have a Mario, or a Zelda. They ought to though... coming up with something to adequately compete with those franchises (Zelda in particular) would do a lot for this company. I wish more people WOULD take influence from these games, rather than relying on the same old shooter formula, or the same old sandbox formula.
I don't know about Kameo being Microsoft's Mario, but I did think that it was an awesome game. I also agree with you on Banjo....can't wait for that one!
