Killer Instinct makes me want an Xbox One really bad. Are you stoked for it?

Be my first fighter game to buy in over 5 or more years. The gameplay looks fun too.

No. The game is made by a terrible developer and it's on a terrible console. The only game I feel a little bad missing is D4.

No real interest, there have been a lot of great fighting games released and will likely be more coming. I don't see any reason to get overly excited about them bringing back another 90s fighting game (unless that game is Bushido Blade).

I'd urge you (OP) to hold fire and get a PS4 if that's the console you really want. I have no doubt Capcom will announce SFV at some point in the not too distant future. From what I've seen so far Killer Instinct, though a solid looking effort, is really similar to SFIV. If you haven't played SFIV then you should consider purchasing SSFIVAE. Another point to consider is that the pricing structure of Killer Instinct hasn't been announced yet. It's a free-to-play game that comes initially with two fighters. You have to pay for the rest. We don't know what else has to be bought and what comes with the free download.

Rumors of KI were the reason I bought a 360... now that a real KI is coming to the xbox one, I know which system I'll be buying on day one :)

Yeah this game took me by surprise....defenitely getting it day 1......ability to broadcast matches should be cool...I just hope my current TE stick will work with the X1, it would really suck to have to buy a new one.

It has already been said you will receive a full copy of the game with only one character. Maybe it's two now but I hadn't heard that. You will have the option of buying the characters you want or buying everything available. I'm sure a stand alone complete version was said to be available too. Unless the pricing structure is really bad this shouldn't be a problem. I'm guessing buying the game as a whole would save you over piecing it all together. It's giving you an option though. I can buy the two characters I use most or buy the entire package at a discounted price. That said I really hope they come through and this is a good game. Fans have been waiting a long time for it.

No single game is worth buying a system for, especially one that costs $500.

Killer Instincts appeal is based entirely on rose tinted nostalgia of the old Ultra 64 powered arcade cabinets, and the awe they inspired. The truth, sadly, is that KI was never a particularly competent fighter, and was, at best, merely a set of average games with production values that were above average for that time period.

That may be true but it was still a blast to play then and for many who still play it now. Is street fighter 2 still played competitively? No. That's because a new version is out. Just like they are updating KI. That's what brings these games back. Whether or not you like it that's fine but there are many people out there looking forward to a new KI.

Really stoked for the new KI. I grew up with the original and loved the games. it was at the time a breath of fresh air from games like Street Fighter and MK.

It's made by another developer. It's going to disappoint people especially those that caved in to the Xbox One just for this game.

Have a positive outlook. From the little I have seen it looks good. Rare is involved with the project. Also no one should buy a console strictly for one game.

That's good news, because it means Rare is working on something else.

Rare not working at it is probably a good thing. The talent that made the original left that team a long time ago.

Yep. i'm not the biggest fighter fan but this does look great. Here's IGN playing the game with Ken Lobb, the series creator. He gives a good account of the development of this game
