Konami survived years without Fifa license why cant 2K do the same w/ NFL?

Winning eleven has been a great game for years without license of any real players name or team (up until recently, but they still lack some team/player license), but they were still more successful than the EA Fifa!!! in term of excellent rating & sells ###

2K needs to take some guidence and lessons from the Konami team and make a better football game than the current offering of a complete crap

No more successful in the US you mean. You dont talk **** about fifa in europe. It's one of the best selling franchise there. Because Madden is completely irrelevant.

Fifa is like Madden in europe, right? but 100 times bigger launch every yearsunnystarz

Yeah because unlike Madden, there isnt just one league, it's pretty much every soccer league, everywhere. Which gives it thousands of times more replay value than madden. And it doesnt get repetitive like madden every year.

Luckily football is a big thing in the UK and so there is a larger fanbase leading to a less number of casuals who prefer gameplay

1000 times more replay value? Repetitive? Going to have to stop you right there.

If you like football then Madden does not get too repetitive. If you don't, then it does. Same with Fifa.

you obviously do not know anything about real football if you cant appreciate what a good game All-Pro is..

Even without the NFL players it is way better than Madden.

Konami has Hideo Kojima and his Metal Gear franchise, along with the Zone of the Enders one. 2k games doesn't have a heavy hitter like him to be a crutch when the other titles start slipping up.

If it's gonna havea fake league and fake players, it has to have something that makes it really different. Like Blitz: The League. Sold really well, without the NFL license. It won't work for 2K.

The reason Konami survived is because Winning Eleven and PES are great games that have gameplay 1000x better than FIFA. Realistic movement, passes, physics, goals that don't look the same all the time (though only thing FIFA does better in my opinion is free kicks, I can actually score in FIFA games on free kicks whereas in PES there are barely any controls and it's impossible to score off a kick at the net). APF on the other hand is so boring and **** compared to the gameplay of Madden.

I've always enjoyed Madden more then the 2K football game (especially since I don't buy Madden every year, I'm getting 2008, but the last Madden I played was 2004)

2K doesn't own Rockstar, and they don't own Oblivion. They didn't even make Oblivion, Bethesda did. 2K just published it.

Got to love Americans........ Oh by the way i am an American, but with the fact that both sports you talked about are technically the same thing it made it a tad confusing.

I love football... i just hate sports that steal its name.

how are both sports the same?? when was the last time a football game ended 1-2, and when was the last time a soccer game ended 14-21 soccer they never score, after an hour of playing soccer it could still be 0-0. it's just run up the field run down the field. football has a cr*p load more strategy to it.

Like I said, the only thing 2K did with Oblivion was basically pay for it be made. Bethesda actually made the game. (And I believe the guy that said mini was being sarcastic)

Agreed. It's the same situation regardless of which football you're talking about. Just because you don't like American football, that doesn't make it any more repetitive than a soccer game. Unless there are some sort of revolutionary changes made to the game of soccer every year... oh wait, you're still just kicking a ball down a field. It all depends on which sport(s) you like. Also, I happen to think that All-Pro was a good effort, but a terrible, terrible, game.

Because 2K doesn't have Metal Gear, CastlevaniaorDDR. Noto nly that but Konami doesn't produce games alone. They also do cartoons, toys, card games an more. They could probably ride on the success of Ninja Turtles and Yu-Gi-Oh alone.
