Definitely worth your time, and they're pretty cheap now.
They probably run a little better on the original Xbox though. Or least that's been my experience.
Alright thanks everyone I think I will probably pick the first one up tomorrow. Did I read somewhere these games take a while to beat?pnobI spent approximately 35 hours on Kotor, but you could get even more out of it(lots of great side missions). Plus it has good replay value.

Well it is an RPG... Its good that it takes a while to beat anyways, trust me you'll want it to last longer. My final save for KOTOR 1 & 2 were both around 50 hours I think.
KOTOR I was a game of the year.
I spent a lot of time on these games (more than I thought it would take). KOTOR 2 took me like 80 hours game-time. Well, I went to dinner a few times and left it there but I also died a lot and had to restart from last save / autosave so it prolly gave me a lot of play-time. I played the hard level so it required a little more "preparations" too. And I found that I was wanting to get as much of the story as I could.
Then I played KOTOR I and it took 65 hours game-time.
Overall I liked KOTOR I better even though KOTOR II was "more detailed and sophisticated". But they both are good and have good stories. They also have good replay value because you have to play the game in different ways (light vs. dark, selecting different party members, doing different "diplomacy" choices, activating romance story-lines, etc.) to expose all the content. They are "relaxing" games that play like a novel. But the storyline is somewhat moldable by your actions. Although the main goals are pretty much the same for whatever you do, there are different paths to get there.
The NPC dialogs are pretty good and you can get into it and "feel for them" if you're into RP aspects of gaming. These are good games and imho it's excellent for single player RPG's where "good RPGs" these days fall into the MMO class. And there...80 hours? phht...try 80 days! ;)
Oh, and also, depending on the type of gamer you are, you can disable "pauses" so that much of the game is real-time. The default setting is semi-turn based like many RPG's but if you want some hardcore action, disable this and set it on difficult. Then you will find out if you are worthy! heh
They are amazing... and I am sure that you will fall in love with the "Old Republic" expanded universe... because it is full of great history. 25,000 years of galactic expansion... these games make you realize just how much history the SWEU has.
I tend to ignore the constant references in the movies to the republic only being a few generations old.
