I recently picked up kotor 2 because I loved the first one and never played the second one when it came out. When I bought it I thought that backwards compatiblity would be a problem, so I asked the gamestop cleck if it was, she said yes and I bought the game. So I pop the game in my 360 and it works, but there are certain things that will randomly happen like sound glitches, and movement lag, and I think that the glicthes are because of I'm playing on a 360. Can some give me some insight about the situation. Thanks.

Yes and no. KotOR 2 had a bunch of glitches in it. And I noticed that playing it on the 360 it some how got more glitches. Or maybe I just didn't notice these other glitches before.

I've had the same problems myself. I've played it through twice on my 360 and both times I had movement lag (especially in combat) and a lot of sound glitches too. This is a real shame as it does somewhat detract from what would otherwise be an awesome single player experience, however, I still found myself enjoying it enough to play it through twice more.

At one point I thought about getting the disc resurfaced for about £2 at Game or somewhere similar but never got round to it. I don't know if it will make a difference, but it might be worth a shot.

KOTOR2 was buggy even on PC. I suggest bringing back the XBox version and paying the $2-3 it costs to buy the PC version on Ebay. You can at least patch the PC version to get rid of most of the bugs.

Actually, its worse, there are plenty of gamebreaking bugs in the PC game, its not quite as bad on the XBOX. Still, the TSLRP is coming out (whenever that is) and is going to greatly expand on the game

These things are common occurences when playing this game on the xbox 360. This has happened to me as well. Also, wikipedia has noted these issues as you mentioned in your initial post: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_games_compatible_with_Xbox_360

I had the same stuff happen when I played it on my 360. KotOR 2 gets choppy and the sound can by funky, but the game works and it never got to the point where I felt it detracted too much.

Just try not to notice them, I went through it on the 360 as well and there were some lag issues for sure, but I just tried not to notice.

I played them both on the original Xbox. 2 is a good game but ya LOTS of glitches even if its not on the 360. Like I said, good game but the first one was WAY better.

Considering how they made Kotor within 2 years of the first one, its no wonder it's as buggy as it is. It probably should be more but the game generally just didn't work that well in the first place. That may be because they switched studios right after the first one.

Fair enough, but this patch actually gives the game an ending!

yeah for sure, i got kotor 2 on pc the other day to try out the mods but it was just too much of a hassle so i returned it. i wanted to try out the cheats too lol. i think its a reral shame that lucasarts rushed obsidian like they did, its lucasarts's fault that the game didnt end up with its full potential etc. i want kotor 3 on the 360 so bad...l
