So I bought KotOR today, popped it in my 360 and sarted playing and noticed that it stutters a lot and is generally laggy. Is this some sort of backward compatability issue or what?

no not really... it was a pretty laggy game on the original xbox, but playing it on the 360 (mine any way) it makes it even worse.

I feel ya. I bought Mercenaries to play the other day and the game freezes non stop

I have never had a freeze on ANY of my 360 games, but when it comes to BC, it SUX

Well kotor is extremely laggy on the 360 and virtually unplayable. You will find that it freezes up alot as well.

I had the same problem. Just d/led it for PC, still pretty fun.

Kotor 2 runs much smoother, and is also a very good game. Maybe give that a try.
