Oh sorry, did i not mention only comment if you have something useful to say? Must have slipped the tongue. And i didn't mean it in that sense. It is just that switching discs is stupid with the amount of technology we have today.

It won't be much of an issue for me. The amount of space needed for this game must be mind boggling. Besides, it's not as if you'll need to swap discs everytime you go to a new part of the map.

Why are you placing blame on rock*? You're right with the amount of tech there is today Microsoft should be using something better than DVD9. You should thank Team Bondi and Rock* for making a game this big.

its a minor annoyance but not a big deal. i rather compare the fps and screen tearing with ps3 version to see which one i will get if i like the reviews of the game.

If the disk art on each one is different then I like that it is more than one disk.

This thread proves how lazy we have become as a society. You really are gonna complain about switching disks? Think as a lesson in life, nothing comes easy, sometimes you need to actually get off your arse and switch some disks.

You still have to change disks even if all 3 are installed.Fair enough if you don't install them but you would think by installing them you could play right through...but nooooo...you still have to change each disc...sucks ass bigtime MS.

Which means you technically only have to change disks twice. That's much better than the PS1 and PS2 days were some RPGs required you to switch multiple times in a few hours lol.

At least look up the amount of times you need to change the disc first, its only twice not over 3 times.

aw yeah so you do. Oh well looks like I won't be buying the game since I need to swap discs. What's the big deal? I don't see the problem except that there's too many lazy mofo's in this world who'll whine about anything that involves any effort.

No big deal for me at all.I don't have a problem changing disks.Just would like to only need 1 disk after all 3 are installed.Surely they could make it so your 360 recognizes that all 3 disks have been installed and allow verification from just 1 disk.

Oh boy, three full discs of even more GTA, erm, LA Noire! Imagine all the GTA, errrr, LA Noire they can fit onto three discs! Game looks like yet another clone from Rockstar. Unless it really does something different I couldn't care less about it regardless of how many discs it will be on. Just my two cents.

This is why I'll get LA Noire on that other Console that is made by the company beginning with the Letter S. Xbox 360 is a great console, but 3 discs is too much.

Okay but the 360 came out in 05 and at a really bad time because there was a format war going on. If there had been a standard back then the 360 would have it but there wasnt. They cant change it until next gen and its really not a big a deal as people make it out to be. MS took the best course of action they could have for the time and thats that.

Also note that the PS3 isnt any better because when it first came out the blu ray drive was considered to be really slow. As a result there are many games have mandatory installs that take much longer than disc swaps just to get decent load times. So nobody really got it right this gen.

Why do you blame R* for this one, the game was developed by Team Bandi. Also, why is it another clone? Because it is open world?

I don't get it. It's not like you're switching disks every 10 minutes.... By the time you finish playing through the first disk, it might be good for you to get up and stretch or something, or walk a few feet to your tv and switch the disk. Also, for the PS3 owners, by the time you have to install the game first, that time you sat and waited for the install is probably longer or so for 360 users to get up and switch disks. So saying that it's better on the PS3 isn't really right. As for me, I'm getting it for my PS3 only because my brother is borrowing my 360. :)

I even have a walkthrough for this 16 step process where you can take out the first few steps. How about before starting the game, you have the 2nd disc already out laying on your 360 therefore eliminating having to find your box and opening it? :P [QUOTE="kayoticdreamz"][QUOTE="nintendo_ds_06"]

You gotta love step 8 and step 16 which really dosent exist for most games as the auto continue when they detect the next disc. Theres also the fact that we are humans and not insects, that whole list can be condensed down into "insert disc 2 " which is only one step. Im pretty sure this person is being sarcastic but some people do think the 16 step way lol.

Well... with dual-layered DVDs that would be 9.4 GB x 3, so more than 28.2 GB? That's still small enough to fit on one single-layer Blu-ray disc. Microsoft really needs a better disc format... higher res textures and higher fidelity sound and such wouldn't be bad... that said, I don't mind switching discs at all!

EDIT: I realize it's not possible for Microsoft to just update to a new format... I just realized it kinda sounded like I was knocking Microsoft for not getting on the ball with a better format. The machine came out in 2005. It's not really their fault... Just sayin... I WISH it had a higher capacity disc format.

Not making any judgements, but I install all my games to the 360 HDD. Have to save the probably really crappy dvd drive.
