i know there are other sites but i believe gamespot is the most reliable, now i am starting to doubt that

They need to get off their butts and review theses games. This site is falling apart. People are quitting.

Its wierd for a game to be released in the uk before the GS review goes up.

Do GS not read the baords? Can they not reply to this topic?

Go to a better site for reviews like www.gamerankings.com . Everyone knows gamespot is bias in their reviews; giving higher scores to games that don't deserve it just because of advertising money being given to them.

Yeah, I've lost a lot of faith in gamespot in the past month or so. Everytime I come to the site there are no updates or new reviews. I'm actually really happy with www.teamxbox.com and www.gametrailers.com those sites get updated often and I usually agree with their reviews. I just come here for the forums, but thats probably gonna change soon since the mods here close posts for the dumbest reasons. darkserpent213

Jason Ocampo was the last reviewer I know to have left. He's gone to IGN. After Gerstmann there was an exodus of reviewers.

Alex Navarro, Ryan Davis, and Frank Provo to name a few. Gerstmann is setting up a new website called Giantbomb.com which I think I'll be using.

It's a shame because I like GS because its user-friendly and its staff was reputable. It's rare to even find a review to read now.

And yes, the random thread-locking is getting annoying.

If there is somebody in management that who reads these posts, please realize that your audience is almost out of patience. Maybe it's time to make up with Jeff Gerstmann and get your reviewers back. The reason you have an audience that comes to your web page is due to your credible reviews made by credible reviewers. Negative game reviews will happen and people can't be fired for giving them regardless of what your advertisers want. In fact, negative reviews of high publicized games increase your credibility: especially if they are correct. The reviewers who quit appear to understand that. The message you sent to them in firing Jeff appears to have been received. Now the fundamental reason for your existence is in jeopardy

I think the reviewers you are speaking of have since left for bigger and better things (whether personal or professional). Good for them!

Jeff started his own website for gaming called giantbomb.com and he already has a partial review of Army of Two. What does that say about gamespot?

And his site is not even fully operational yet.

I mostly come here for user reviews anyway.charma

I would say the same thing....I know a lot of people come to this site and there are usually a ton of user reviews for the games, and some of them are actually pretty good reviews.

Gamespot should put reviews top of the list thats what this site was meant to be for but i guess with all the other stuff on the site they have abused on what the site was meant for.

user reviews are helpful but bias in some ways.
