Ok. I live in New Zealand. In New Zealand our Internet is run by an evil company called Xtra. We have horrible Internet connections and plans and because of this I have never experienced a game of Halo 3 or COD4 where my bar was "green". I am either in yellow or more frequently red. I'd like to think I am quite a good player. I win most of my matches and when I play LAN's with my friends I carve them like Turkey. I can't help wondering how much better I'd be on-line (Ranks etc.) if I didn't lag every game. Things like melee in Halo 3 and Sniping in COD4 are impossible seeing as my opponents are able to literally disappear and reappear. I just wanted to know. Do people notice when somebody is lagging on-line, and does anybody else lag frequently? Also, is there a way I can set my 360 so that I play against other people from New Zealand more often?

I think your just trying to talk up your skills to us for some strange reason. I get disconnected on Halo 3 frequently (getting a new router, mine isnt compatible) and i still manage to rank up just slowly. If your so pro like you say you are, and you win every match, why are you here complaining?

How does it affect me? When YOU get lag, it pisses me off. Cause the lag ain't on MY end, brother.

Well, if I'm playing a foreigner then I can usually recognize them as the one who is skipping around the map. Doesn't affect my overall connection but it is a pain to kill someone who is lagging pretty bad.

Set your settings in Halo 3 to search for games with "Best Connection." That's the easiest way to have the most lag-free games you can get.

Nah ,man I'm not on here to talk up my skill or cause any trouble. Just an honest question man.
Thanks for the responses though guys. I appreciate the input. I just wanted to know what it's like on the other side.
