There are less technical issues with Lost Odyssey. I'd say go for that.

Also next time use the recommendation thread.

Lost Odyssey is longer (4 discs compared to 2 discs), has better characters, has a better story, and so much more.

The Last Remnant is still a good game, though, but it's just not on the same level as Lost Odyssey.

They are both good games, also both very different.

The Lost Odyssey is great, but it's not very different from other turn-based RPG's. TLR has a unique battle system, a rather nice touch if you overlook the somewhat cumbersome AI.

Neither I'd go for Tales of Vesperia instead, however if you insist I'd say Last Remnant.

As others have said, use the sticky >: ( But anyway, it depends on what you're looking for. Lost Odyssey's more of a nostalgia trip than anything else. The battles are very basic with very little that makes it stand out. The immortal characters, however, add some depth and strategy to it. It's quite easy though, apart from the first 2 boss battles. The story, characters and atmosphere is fantastic though, and the writing's superb. The dreams are wonderfully written too. Last Remnant, on the other hand, is sort of the antithesis of LO. The battle system's new, but everything else seems slightly....meh. The graphics seem bland, although they are detailed, there's a lot of texture pop-in and slow down (although this can be remedied by installing it to a hard drive), the characters and story (I'm just at the end of disc one, it could get better) aren't the best and you don't really get that epic feeling while playing it. Still, it's a great game nevertheless. If I had to choose, I'd say get them both, but get LO first. It far superior.

You gotta love Last Remnant for it's challenge and how it can become down-right addictive to play. Lost Odyssey feels like an FF game and is excellent.

Sooooooooo....you must get both.
