My xbox 360 is a Dic 06 model, it seems to still be working fine, although for the last year I havent played it very much, hardly at all. Did late 06 models still have lots of problems or by then had microsoft started fixing them. Anybody else still have functioning older models???

Not every 360 will RROD...But that's meaningless.

ANY system will break on you. I went through a lot of PS2's and Xboxes last gen. Even PS3's break(DRE, Errors, Bricking), Wii's get DRE, 360's get RROD, Dre and disc scratching.

I've never had RROD, been about a year and a half now. You just have to get lucky, and make sure you have a warranty to backup your expensive console purchase.

like above poster said. all systems will break eventually. the ps2 was in love with those dre. the way i fixed it was by opening it up and putting alcohol on the eye it worked quite well.
