I don't think LCDs will burn, but I'm pretty sure Plasma TVs do.

Burn in is pretty much impossible with LCD technology. It used to be an issue with plasma displays, but they've gotten much better.

its almost impossible. although, there may have been some cases. those ppl probably left the same image on the screen for hours upon hours or even a day, then there is a chance for it to happen. plasma's WERE notorious for burn in, but they have gotten better over time as well!

LCD TV's do NOT screen burn. Plasma and older projection units do. I'm jealous of your friend! I'm still playing on a standard definition TV.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. My LCD TV has warnings in the manual about burn-in, but I think they're covering themselves in the unlikely event some yahoo manages to do it.

LCDs can have burn it, it's just extremely rare, older plasma models have terrible burn in issues, newer ones however, are better, but still bad.
