Left 4 Dead Movie

People are well aware of the multiplayer typhoon known as Left 4 Dead. Well what if they did and actual series (or at least one) of movies? Well my friend and I have thought about it and have put some lead role suggestions. Tell us what you think!

Lewis~Will Smith (you know him)

Bill~Clint Eastwood (Grand Turino)

Zoey~Rose McGowan (Charmed,Grindhouse: Planet Terror)

Francis~Christian Bale (Dark Knight)

I don't think it would be really such a good movie.

Don cheadle i loved his part in traitor will smith would be good at this part too

francis as jason stetham i know its odd but stetham is such a bad *** hes so cool

I think it would be pretty bad ass making a L4D movie. And, heh, no the movie wouldn't be exactly like the game because the game has absolutely no story. Doesn't say how the infection spread, how the infection came to be, nothing. So a L4D movie wouldn't be pointless and MANY people would see it purely due to the fact that people love the game. I do agree that they would have to have some amazing actors though. That would help. But anyways yeah, plenty of people would see it regardless of it sucking or not. Plus people love zombies. Anyways, I think this should be the casting.

Lets think about something here... the last time there was a movie made off of a game that sucked was...YEARS ago.. technology is different now, I mean Resident Evil was awesome, silent hill was awesome.. I do think this is a great idea.. even if they make it a computer animated just like Resident evil degeneration.. but either way.. this sounds like a great idea... how games made FROM movies are usually terribleTrogeton

Everyone I know hates Francis and would probably enjoy seeing him get killed off early on. Also, why Christian Bale? Will Smith, no, I want Jackson for the humor. Nah, Will Smith could work. Clint Eastwood is too old. I don't know who Rose McGowan is.Legolas_Katarn

Who could possibly hate Francis? Besides, just because it's a zombie movie doesn't mean any of the 4 have to die. (Yes that sounded stupid, but hear me out.) If people were really craving some human blood, couldn't there be some temporary survivors, or maybe base it around Dead Air, and show the tank on the plane causing it to crash? I think that might work.

A movie about people escaping from zombies would be terrible?

It would probably be made by Uwe Boll, the man who can't get enough of crappy game-based movies. He thinks he is a part of the gaming community but really, everyone wants him to stop doing his movies because they degrade the video games that they are based on.

Left 4 Dead Movie = Could be okay, but only if a capable director was in charge.

Even then, Left 4 Dead doesn't have any stalwart hero badass kind of characters. The survivors in L4D are simple everyday people who are forced into a not-so-everyday situation.

you guy's are getting it all wrong. It's not about whether L4D should be a movie, or if it'll be a good/bad movie. We all know if it did happen, it would suck and that it is pointless to make a movie which is based off movies. This thread is not about that, it's about casting actors/actresses to play the roles of Zoey, Francis, Louis and Bill. True, a Left 4 Dead movie would not be fine cinema. However, it IS great fun to try to cast it. The cast suggestions I have seen on here thus far are lame, and if not lame, then impossible (like Clint would EVER agree to do a game movie...)

So here it is folks...

Francis: Adam Baldwin (Jayne from Firefly)

Bill: Billy Bob Thornton (he could be made to look older, and he can do that grizzled vet voice pretty well)

Zoey: Ellen Page (Juno, Kitty Pryde) She actually LOOKS just like Zoey.

Louis: Mos Def (Will Smith is the likely candidate, but he's too buff, and he has two modes: serious or goofy. I think Mos Def would be able to pull it off better.)

And anything else would be tragic.
