yeh im pretty sure they already annouced that it was going to have split screen, the reason im getting it for 360 and not pc.

almost like deadrising in 1st person then? GOD i pray its offline co-op too!!! waiting and waiting for just 1!!!! simple offline 2 player zombie game. grrr!

Please provide a link to a quote from someone at Valve or interview that shows this, as I seriously doubt that is true.

Left4Dead is likely to be very similar to Team Fortress 2. They are based on the same engine, and they will be trying to reuse much of what they learnt on developing TF2 and use it on L4D. TF2 does not support split screen or any offline play. I would expect L4D to be very similar.

Someone from valve/turtlerock has mentioned splitscreen 360 play. 2 player only though. There is system linnk for 4 people, 2 xboxs! (i guess 8, 4 boxes if you want to play versus)

Yeah I want to get this game but really a major selling point would be offline co-op. Nothing better than playing at night with a friend next to you shooting zombies.
