Left 4 Dead vs. Fallout 3 Debate

I know this is a weird question to ask, and that these games aren't really related at all, but which game is better? I've heard so many good things about both, but I want to know which is better. I want to buy one more game and have narrowed my list down to these. I play a lot of multiplayer, which is why I have L4D on the list, because I've already got CoD: WaW and GeoW2. But also, I've kind of got burnt out of multiplayer and live, so Fallout 3 could really sway me away, and I'm sure I could easily log 50 hours at least into it. But there's something abotu each that I like. Fallout 3 has an immersive and detailed world, but Left 4 Dead is a great co-op and multiplayer game that has a lot of replay value. I know Fallout 3 has gotten the better scores and awards, but Left 4 Dead just looks like simple fun.

Another thing I should bring up is that I think I could get bored with both. For those of you that have played both, which got more boring, faster? I mean, killing zombies is fun, but afterawhile, would get to be like a chore? I'm afraid I'll just buy it and then be like "oh, killing a million zombies was fun for the first five minutes, but now it's boring." And with Fallout 3, it just seems like the quests and gameplay would get to be like that also.

I have friends who have both, so playing by myself wouldn't/won't be a problem if I get L4D. If I didn't have friends who have L4D, I'd sure get Fallout 3, but co-op I've heard is amazing in L4D. Also, how is the MP in L4D, because I've really only heard about the single player campaign(s).

I have both games and I really like them. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with either game so it's up to you which one you get. You are right about putting 50 hours into Fallout. I've already logged almost 60 and haven't beaten the game yet. Left 4 Dead is an awesome multiplayer game. There is a Versus mode that pits the 4 survivors against the Infected. You can play as Special Infected (Boomer, Hunter, Smoker and sometimes Tank) so it's a 4 vs. 4 battle. Survivors try to make it to the next safe house and the Infected try to kill the survivors and then the teams switch sides. You go through each "level" as both Infected and Survivors and the team with the most points at the end of the round wins. The Versus mode is extremely fun because you get a chance to play as the Infected and that is just amazing. L4D definitely has a lot of replay value, especially if you like multiplayer. Basically, you can't go wrong with either game but Left 4 Dead is a lot better in terms of replay value and online multiplayer.TigerGuy06

I'm getting Fallout 3 for Christmas and if it isn't better than the over rated L4D I will be verydisappointed. Also I'm a zombie movie fanatic.

Maybe my dislike for L4D came from all the stupid people I was teamed up over LIVE, so my opinion on L4D might be unwarranted.

OH MY GOODNESS. Neevermind, I will get both. I jsut got enough money to get both. See my birthday is December 16th, 1991. So I just turned 17. So, I did some stuff around my house to get some money, and I got $35 from donig that stuff and from saving some coins and stuff, and then I don't know exactly the day, but I got a $25 check from my aunt and uncle for my birthday. So that's one game there. But now, like literally now, my brother came up and handed me some mail I got. An envelope from the Natl. Guard and the Army (I'm a p***y I'm short, and I'm weak, they won't be needing my nerdy body.) But also, I got a $55 check from my Aunt for birthday and christmas! So now I can get both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Plus, I'll also be receiving probably like $30 or $25 as a Christmas gift on Christmas Day from the same Aunt and uncle that sent me the $25 for my birthday, but I'llbe getting it on Christmas Day because we're going to their house. So that will be my Christmas gift from them, since i received the birthday money earlier. If you're wondering why they don't give me the Christmas money and birthday money on the same day like my other aunt, it's because we see them on Christmas Day. SO yes! I'm getting both!
