I don't like to play horror games alone, so it Left 4 Dead for me. That dosn't mean that I'm saying Resdeint Evil 5 going to be bad, actelly it should be an improvement to the last game.
Wih COD4 Left4Dead and Re5 do you think its a goverment conspiracy to prepare the citizens for a zombie attack? Cause im pretty sure they already have a time machine.so they obviously went back in time and gave us these cool games so we can learn not to shoot each other in the face and jump off building to survive. Oh BTW Left 4 Dead GOTY I'm calling it.
I tihnk both games are going to be very fun indeed, but I feel they aren't similar enough for comparison, it really depends on your tastes. I personally voted for RE5 but that in no way means L4D is worse in any way.
i'm saying resident evil 5. L4D is fun, and the demo is great, but it really is just counterstrike with zombies. It's not that it's not fun, but you can't compare a game like that to a game like RE5 from a tried and true franchise that is almost guareenteed to win goty
im probably going to like the both equally. Again nobody can say anything right now because nobodies play RE5 yet, but L4D is pretty freaking fun as far as im conserned, the best part being the online co-op. So if RE5 has online co-op then those to games will be my official favorite games of the year.
Ive played a few Resident Evil games and i have to say that they are aweful. Resident evil 4 failed badly. The gameplay was **** the people didn't even look like zombies and the physics were also rubbish. You could shoot someone in the face at point blank range with a shotgun and they didn't die. Left 4 Dead is awesome, especially online and its more believable.
wow they are two completey different games two highly different goals. they just both happen to be about zombies i find it kinda hard to compare ya know

Ive only played the demo for left 4 dead and resident evil 5 isnt out yet but since resident evil 4 was on of my favorite games last gen, im going with resident evil 5...
i prefer resident evil 5 by a landslide. although L4D is a zombie game and RE5 isnt. the older resi games were zombie games however and they were more realistic than L4D mainly because the zombie actualy ate you unlike the left 4 dead zombies that would just punch and stamp on you. however i do like L4D but Resident evil 5 for me is a better game for so many reasons i dont want spend ages typing them out lol
well the full re5 game isnt out yet so its hard to say, also there really different types of games, its like comparing halo and gears, they each have a unique feel and play to it.
RE5 will have the better single player. But nothing can possably touch Left 4 Dead in multiplayer which is what really counts. Plus who doesn't like to actually play as the Infected. L4D all the way.
Well, there's not much similarity between them, zombies, gore and guns put aside, but from what I've played of L4D and what I've seen my brother play of the RE5 demo(I haven't tried it yet, but it looks a lot like RE4, and RE4 was one of those few long games I've ended up beating recently, so...=P), I'm thinking RE5 wins this one for me.
I am going to have to see if RE5 will be better but so far i gotta go with left 4 dead it has a story tht most zombie movies have it makes sense. I am hoping tht RE5 has a great storyline, well we will find out i guess
Although they are quite different games i think iwill prefer resident evil 5 (having loved resi 4) but the demo was slightly disapointing- sure the actual game will be better.
Left 4 Dead is a great, fun game, but is slightly repetitive and lacks story.
Compared to previous resident evils, the demo for resi 5 was pathetic, the a.i seemed slow and boring, the combat is dire, the horror aspect is gone and the controls are ridiculous. L4d is good to play with friends but there are alot of issues that Valve need to sort out. It has a good replay value and online is very fun. I suppose i can only come up with a basic view on resi 5 since the real game isn't out but i certainly won't be getting it. (the 'zombies' are now just infected not the traditional zombies just like resi 4)
