I had a lot of money in my wallet today, like $900, and then I got another $500 for getting 100% on tests from my parents....so I got the notion, why not put in a couple of bucks for Microsoft points. So I bought 5 cards (the Best Buy ones that require activation, because they are not in the plastic containers.) When I got home, I activated 3 just fine, but the 4th and 5th one did not register because Microsoft said, I had hit a limit on how many points I can redeem in a 24 hour period, due to safety reasons.

The cards were 2800 Microsoft point cards, I live in Canada, and I have around 16000 Microsoft points in my account as of this moment. Have I hit a limit or something that applies to everyone, just Canadians, just people with over 10000 points, just Canadian people who have over 10000 points, or is it limited to me alone? (I am not self-centered for asking the last question, mygamercard.net does not work for me, gamespot recently shut me out for 5 hours, but then suddenly started working, my dog bit me when my girlfriend threw a ball at his head, my internet yesterday shut off for 10 hours and started magically...weird stuff happens to me...)

I would really like clarification, as I can not find anything in the Microsoft Xbox 360 forums....

I have never heard of a limit before... but if thats the case just use the points you have to buy some games to distract you until tomorrow then enter the rest.:P

Lol, that is what I am trying to do...but...my suspicions are close to being confirmed by your response...I am being singled out...

The only thing I need to verify my suspicions is the fact that someone actually has tried this...and failed.

Why do you have so many points on your accony anyways? They don't expire so you can just add the rest whenever.

I wouldn't worry about it, it doesn't sound like Microsoft is singling you out or anything. Just wait a day and try entering your points then. If it still won't let you, spend your points on some games and try again.

Lol, I am pretty sure you guys are right. =P I watch NCIS too much...

The reason I have so many points on my account is because my little brother likes to buy Avatar gear and also likes to buy Arcade games. So I stock up on the points so when I go to study in California, he does not have to bother asking our parents (they only give out stuff if you exceed in academics) for the points. I am only 18, and here in B.C. the age of majority/adulthood is 19+, so I do not have a credit card.
