No unfortunatly the original case do not come with Gears of War 2 and Fallout 3 (Both come with tin cases, or in Fallouts case a lunch box). Fable 2 as far as hasn't released a lot of info on it's limited edition, so I'd advise you to ask the good people on the Fable 2 board.

usually the game case is inside of the tin though. when i bought the assassin's creed LE, it came in a tin, but the game was in a case inside.

Infact both Gears Of War 2 and Fallout 3 will NOT come with the normal case, they come in a cardboard/steel smaller case. In Gears of War (1) both the game disk and special edition came in a cardboard "case" with the Limited. I got the legendary Assasins Creed (Figure ect) and that came with the normal game box, so I don't know about the limited edition, but if it did come with the regular then it is the odd one out really so don't expect it with Fable 2 and definatly not with Gears 2 or Fallout 3
