Im getting a 360 elite for christmas(FINALLY!!!) and i dont know which game to ask for NBA Live or NBA 2k8. Will some one tell me if live sucks on the 360 because its horrible on the xbox. Live looks funner on 360 but ive never played it so please i need answers.

i'd wait until NBA Live 08 comes out on Oct 2 cuz NBA Live 07 isnt worth the money now... dont go with 2K its just not fun anymore.

2k8 Hands down. It's probably not as fun for the casual gamer but its the best basketball simulation there is. Nba live tried to copy what 2k has been doing the last couple of years and for good reason, cus 2k makes better bball games. Nba live is ok but gets old way to fast when you can run down the court and dunk everytime with kobe bryant. thats not real basketball, nba 2k8 you actually play defense and run plays. ive played both demos and nba 2k8 is by far the better game. not to mention it has a new dunk contest that actually looks legit. there is 3 phases, the gather, the something and the finish. so its a 3 step dunk contest using the right joystick. looks pretty tihgt, not a simple press a,a,b,y type of dunk contest.

do not make the mistake of buying nba live 08, its dump every year they say they're gonna do this and that and make a better b-ball game but they never do, buy nba 2k8 it wont let you down, we've played the demo on the 360 and cantell you that its real good, the dunks are insane too

NBA Live 08looks like the better gameludadav

i agree! the graphix are better and the overall physics and animations of it all are much better than 2K8. NBA Live 08IS a better game.

I prefer NBA Live 08 then 2k8....but each to their own.

I didnt like the graphics in 2k8...gameplay wise its ok. Graphics in 08 much nicer and gameplay was not bad either.

It depends if you don't know anything about basketball it doens't matter

but if you play ball and are into it then 2k8 cause it has the little things you notice when playing and watching ball and it so much better

e the mnistake of buying Live last year and it was a total turd. 2K isn't as exciting, but it looks great and plays great. i don't need a skills competition in my game to have fun with it. i'll rent live and hope they prove me wrong, but 2k is the sure thing.

isn't exciting??

when the clock starts tickin it's the most exciting game ever

and like i said, if you're an achievement lover than it doesn't matter but if you know basketball you'll be very upset by live, but very excited by 2k, and i can already tell MIB probably doens't know what a real basketball looks like, only the ones in videogames

I would have to go with 2k8 I played the demo and its great. I also played the live 08 demo and didn't really care for it they tried to make the game play to realistic with the real thing and to me it kind of lags and plays ruff as for 2k8 played nice and smooth

i swear i'm the only one still trying to decide.2k is so much fun to play after i sat down with the demo more than a couple of times i really started to like it and get a feel for what 2k is aiming for.the presentation of this game will be absoulutely amazing once the retail version is released. i mean have you seen some of the animations... the way they react to the crowd when they fall in. or they jump over a camera man and pat him on the back... or even knock and opposing player over and see if he's all rite lol... and live is just stunning in the graphics department IMO. fun to play and i think they did a much better job then 2k did as far as planting their feet and cutting. the jump shots of the individual players look pretty sweet, and commentary is on point...so im not really sure what i want...JUST HAD TO POST MY FEELINGS SOMEWHERE SORRY!
