So there have been a lot of demos released lately that I have been looking forward to playing. Unfortunately Xbox Live won't allow me to start a download because it is not suitable for a child account.... I have had Xbox Live for almost 5 years nowand back then I put in my real birth date. I am 17 now... have been for 3 months, but when they released the Fall update I started getting this problem. It is really quite annoying having to wait a week and then downloading the content on a silver account just because MS decided to start enforcing this.

So my question is... Does anybody know if I could contact Microsoft and get this problem sorted out?

hmm... I thought I might get this kind of reaction. In case you didnt read my first post, I am already using that method, and guess what... It is a hassle. Before that update this was never a problem and now it is. Now... back to my original question. Will Microsoft correct this for my account if I call and complain? And this time dont be an ass when you answer me.

If you're old enough, somewhere in the thing, (I think in account settings) the newest system update made it so you can change your account to an 'adult' account.

I don't think that's true... can you or anyone confirm this?

Well to buy Mature titles you have to be 17, so I assume to do this you have to be 17 ...

You must be an adult, in the US 18 is the magic number. (As far as Xbox live is concerned anyway)

Sorry, but to my knowledge calling support won't do much. This thread may help http://forums.xbox.com/17513933/ShowPost.aspx. I'm 17 as well and have been very annoyed with the change.
