Here is my take...first the guys who sends the message: his team is loosing while he is jacking around with one kill.

The sniper: who snipes that long without moving or looking around (camper), also who checks a message in the middle of a game?

1887s? Those have a poor range now actually. Technically, a shot gun CAN fire well over 50 yards, if you've even used a real one.

But for balance reasons in a videogame, they're fixed, whatever.

And dual rangers, the double barrels, have the poorest range of any shotgun.

Tactical Knife is the nub tactic these days. Now melee'ing 15 feet away or up a flight of stairs had problems.

yeah, an 1887 is a 10 gauge. Though you can probably use 2 rangers (sawn-off) at the same time.

MW2 Fanboy?Hah,hardly.I play the game wen I have nothing eles to play. Maybe 2-3 hours a week.The only time I played more was wen I was leveling but now I'm 70 and I don't plan on prestiging.Anyway, its a pretty good shooter and I'm sorry you dont like it becouse you can't deal with the shotgun akimbo but that doesnt change how good the game is and how many people play it.

Why are you so confrontational? So far the only argument I've seen you make towards MW2 is that the shotguns are unbalanced. I'm also quite sure you've heard about the patch. So yes, shotguns are pretty much an instant kill, even times from 30+ feet. Well it's not as if it us unbeatable. In order to be that close to you they usually have to utilize the element of surprise, usually by corners and hallways. You have to think of it like a game of rock, paper, scissors. If they're using shotguns in close proximity, then play the long field. If you're playing an objective game which requires you to be rushing, then study and predict the enemy's most probable course of action and counter it with stun grenades, frags, etc. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. People always complain that shotguns are unfair, but if comes down to two people against each other who are using them I'd say that's a pretty leveled field which comes down to the most skill. So to base your opinion on one weapon which is essentially a tactic (I'm not saying you are but lots of people do) seems pretty ridiculous to me.SnipeyMcSnipe

My opinion about the game isn't one that's likely to change. If you want to know why I dislike it so much, you can read my review.

No one's trying to change your opinion, you're entitled to it. It's just pretty weak that you come into a topic that was intended on a video showing game footage and you start rambling on and on about unbalanced shotguns (which is a weak basis because they have been balanced). If you have other opinions why you dislike it, that's great for you, but we don't really care. This thread wasn't started so people like you could come in and argue about why you hate the game. It's a great competitive shooter on the console, but it only stands out because of how ridiculous it really is.

COD4 was a quality game. But MW2? Not so much.
