I'm going to be getting a new headset for Christmas but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't really care if it's wired or wireless, but having an easy to reach mute button on it would be a huge plus. I'm also not looking for one that costs a fortune..I'd like to stay around 50 dollars if at all possible. Thanks for any help you guys can give. Take care.

Can I set them up to just hear chat so the sound still comes out of my TV speakers?

I have turtle beach X11 s and they are a massive improvement over my TV speakers. Works on 360 and PC, but I don't think the microphone works on PS3 unless you buy an adapter.

You can have the in-game sounds play out of the TV aswell, if you have guests over or something.

I really like the X11's, they give you a huge advantage in fps and especially call of duty.

I guess I just have one last question. Can I get sound in the x11's even if I use HDMI with my Xbox and TV? I was searching around and I pretty much read you needed to use the red white and yellow cables, or have RCA output on your TV. Well I don't have RCA output. So if you guys could clear that up it'd be great. If it wont work I'm gonna buy the microsoft wireless black one.

I certainly do. Here is how i game with my turtle beach x11's using hdmi. Don't get the wireless one, if you game a lot like me it will drain out fast and it hurts my ears very quickly.

^ same here I use the adapter as well cause my tv doesnt support dual audio modes through one source. Word of warning, When buying the audio adapter/dongle for your 360buy the legit microsoft ones( I got mine on ebay brand new with the hdmi cable for 11 bucks+shipping). I own the 360slim model and when I used an aftermarket adapter it would cause my console to reset if i changed inputs on my tv. I know the slim models onyl allow the use of official MS audio adapters, not sure about the other 360 versions or iterations, but it's better to be on the safe side.

If you don't mind the wires get the X11 .. if you can spend 50$ more for some quality, get the X31's .

More for quality? The X31's are the exact same thing as the X11's except wireless. You are only paying $50 more for the wireless.

the X11's are great man!! and there is a way to use the x11's while using your hdmi. you just have to ether buy this adapter or "modify" your AV cables so you have both your AV cables and HDMI plugged into your xbox at the same time.

PM me if you want the details.

the turtle beaches are great man, and you can use them with your ps3 as well, you just have to buy a cheap adapter for the ps3.
