Looking for a good shooter for 360

I'm looking for a good shooting game. I'm not getting shadowrun cuz i dont have xbox live. I was thinking GoW, but im not sure what to get. Dont forget that...

For the moment i play Rainbow Six Las Vegas is an incredible shooter and the multiplayer is just awesome.

But Gears is awesome too but imo i still prefer Vegas, Graw 2 is really great too

Yeah, R6 Vegas is going to be more tactical and really damn hard. I love it, but still, it's hard and gets me really aggravated. montzag

It is a tactical game but not like the previous R6 games. You have commands for your squad but they aren't difficult to learn.Overall the game is more action oriented than tactical oriented. The single player is quite good, if you like shooters then you won't be disappointed. I personally enjoyed R6 Vegas' single player campaign more than Gow; it was longer and the different difficulty settings were more noticeable in R6Vegas than Gow. Also Call of Duty 2 is a good one to get. You should be able to find it pretty cheap and it is also quite good. I like it over Call of Duty 3, the single player is more memorable, the enemy AI is smarter and also if you have some friends who own it then multiplayer can be very entertaining. Fear is also another good one. That game is just pure action and mayhem. GRAW 1 or 2 would be a good choice if you prefer tactical over action as tactics are the only way to beat that game, this is especially true on the the hard setting.

for R6 vegas the singleplayer-story is squad-based

there are only a few commands(4)

so rainbow would be pretty good

i myself didnt like GOW story

was too bland

If you don't have Live -- I don't even know why you'd bother with a 360 without Live, but whatever -- I'd probably wait it out for Half Life 2 if I were in your shoes. With Live, Rainbow Six without a doubt.

Gears has a decent SP, but it's only 6-8 hours long. Screwjob at 60 bucks. Rainbow Six has a decent SP, but the main draw is the multi for that title. Quake IV is alright and also comes with Quake II and can be found for 20-25 US dollars, FEAR is ok (better on PC), I don't like GRAW/GRAW2 but they're just not my kind of game.

COD2 is your best bet, one of the most amazing single player campaign I ever experienced. klusps
