I just got call of duty world at war myself yesterday and man that game is good. cheap as hell in single player though with death by grenades. I would pick Wolfenstein. Another game i have been looking at not sure if its WW2 but it looks better then what was mentioned.

If you like tactical shooters, Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway might be something for you. I love that game.

There is also The Saboteur......not a FPS - more like a 3rd person open world action/adventure......but i just finished it and i thought it was pretty decent.....

Wolfenstein - I have played this as well......not a classic WW2 game as it has sci-fi elements in it - but not a bad game......

There is also Battlestations Pacific and Battlestation Midway - not a FPS like CoD......but a nice strategy/action game......

:)

Wolf 3d is hillarious and a good throwback to the early days of FPS and best of all it has one of the best bosses in gaming history. If you can put up with the zanyness and the antics its well worth checkin out despite being a preeety old game :P

Definitely Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway. I've enjoyed that game far more than almost all the military shooters this gen.

I'd recommend Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway as well. Slower-paced compared to the call of duties, I feel, but is a solid game nontheless. Medal of Honor Airborne was alright, I would only pick it up if you can find it for around $10. Wolfenstein was entertaining, solid gameplay and an interesting premise - Pretty good as fictional storytelling in a WWII setting goes. The Saboteur I have but have not played. but I've heard good things... though I believe its in the 3rd person action genre.

Those are my recommendations.

Medal of Honor: Airborne - This game as very good and different ways in how you could begin a mission made it easier, harder or just 'different' There's a demo for it on XBL if you wanna try before you buy.

Battlefield 1943 - This game is great IMO but too small to justify a purchase if you can get your hands on 1942 on the PC go with that, if not this is still a great game but there isn't much content (4 maps, no single player)

I guess I can't suggest CoD1, 2 and WaW since you already have those, but those are probably my personal favourites. (CoD: Big Red One was good aswell but it's not on 360)

I can't really think of much else decent WW2 games assuming you are only looking for ones on 360 only.

I personally liked IL2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey aswell, it's a flying game though.

Can't think of much else but Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 is scheduled for 2012 and that looks to be a great WW2 game with a nice twist to it.

Everyone's saying get Wolfenstein but I played the demo and thought it sucked. Massive step back from Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Enemy Territory, but that's just my opinion based off a demo.

If you are open to more platforms than just Xbox 360 let me know cos I have a few more suggestions

No question they make a difference though. And there were better looking early 360 games than that crap. Robotic AI didn't help either.
