I'm sure you guys are tired of these topics already, so I apoligize in advance for creating this thread. My brother is looking to pick up a multiplayer game for the 360 but has no clue what to get, I was hoping you guys might have a few suggestions. The only thing he seems sure about is that he doesn't want a sports game.
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 all the way !!!! Simply love that game online , also i see some one said Gears of War well if you want to unload clips and clips into enemies and they still dont die theni suggest this lol.
From a long time Gears player i would say definitely not. Everything is messed up in that game and it has a crapload of glicthes and a bad community. Annex is maybe the only fun thing youll enjoy on gears multiplayer.
Dunno about COD3, COD2 is my favourite multiplayer game, but when COD3 came out the MP sucked really bad, awful balance, maybe they patched a few things, but if they havent I definatly wouldnt recommend it.
test drive unlimited is an awesome game. drive anywhere you want on a HUGE map in exotic cars with thousands of people. you can only lock on to 8 people at a time though.
Lost Planet is a great multiplayer game that often goes overlook in my opinion. It has reason to keep you playing, not like gears which is just for ranking. In Lost Planet, you gain experience and go up levels online and as you go up levels you unlock new playable character skins and textures to custumize your character online. Also the community, from what ive seen is very good, unlike what you hear about the gears community, which yes from what ive heard is pretty loud and crazy, but their fine too. If you want you can wait until later this year and get COD 4, that seems like a great game as well.
Gears of War and Rainbow Six Vegas are my personal favorites thus far. The only games I forsee beating them out are Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4.
Many complain about Gears having terrible online play, but it all comes down to who you play with. If you play with people who fight dirty and exploit glitches, then sure, it will be a bad experience. But once you join a game with people who actually play instead of just screw around, then damn, Gears is the most fun I've ever had playing a video game.
Gears is the only game I go back to time and time again(10,000+ kills) but i need somthing new so bioshock is all I'm going at for the rest of this month then the coop on halo3 but I'm gonnastay away from the halo3 Multiplayer
