Looking for an online game to play with a friend

We're mostly into rpgs, not so much shooters. not into sports or racing either. what do you suggest? ps. i heard two worlds isnt any good and i tried the demo, hated it.

Does the multiplayer make it a lot more fun than single player? I found the single player experience to be very boring, although it was pretty to look at. I guess it would have a different feel to it since I'd be starting from scratch instead of a midlevel character.

I tried that big knight dude..he was way too slow and sucked up all his stamina way too fast so i was just sitting there mostly.

you mean onlinve RPG's? i heard that DMMME have online multiplayer mode , and for non RPG's guitar hero 3 is a great game to play with friends , it have online mode though.

Well that's something to consider.. I've always said I wanted oblivion online :P The demo for some reason looked really funny. When you jump you go into these really really poor frames and it becomes choppy and weird. But these videos don't seem to have that problem. DahlVaughnni

oh now i remember , that game had a demo , dam it was oblivion rip off , its not as big as oblivion and its a closed game , after reconsiderations , forget about that game , it seems like you are asking for the impossible an online RPG , i dont know i give up.

idk but microsoft be talking about bring windows to xbox 360 late 2008 early 2009 they said one of the big games well be WOW(world of warcraft) and others and even connetion tgo people playing pc version at the same timeALSO THEY SAID HALO 2 ALSO

sorry to tell you but pc is the system for rpgs with online even tho WOW anit a rpg

wow 360 has been in discussion for a long time now, and they've since put an end to that. It will not be coming for 360.

My buddy won't pay monthly fees though so that rules out a lot of games. We already play a few, but we want more lol.

in terms of shooters, i hate bioshock, i hate the orange box, i hate halo, and i hate cod, which has left me to ignore mass effect since i dont quite see how it's more of an rpg than a shooter. You shoot things, it's a shooter. I don't like to shoot things. I like to hit things. Lol. Whether or not you level up, I don`t care. I don`t like anything futuristic, besides star ocean and even that is only half futuristic.

We seem to be runnin out of free pc mmorpgs. Played SotNW, wow, guild wars, rappelz, flyff, archlord, and dozens of others, gonna be pretty hard to reveal a new one to us.

KuF is probably a no-go, but I`m considering dark messiah if the actual game is better than the demo, cause some of the videos I see are totally different from the demo. The demo has bad framerates and they tried so hard to make the movement feel realistic that it took away from both the realism and the gameplay, but the combat is better than oblivions.

It all depends on what type of game you want to play online. Halo 3 has great online play for an FPS, so that's a great choice. I don't really know any other ones right now.SPD_WeBmAsTaH

yup thats a good one, played it on my psp and loved it , you should try it.

Honestly if you hate shooters and cant stand halo or cod.... your playing the wrong system these type of games are what make up a majority of the 360s library, but none the less ill try to offer you some solutions...

2 games that haven't been mentioned are Final Fantasy 11 and Phantasy Star Universe. These both have monthly fees and I know you don't want that but, I'm not seeing another choice. Personally would not know how good these games are I haven't played them. They may be worth a look tho.

One Problem is your looking for a game in a genre thats over saturated with bad games.

If you really think that halo and cod are what makes x360 great then you need to take your head out from the sandbox and take a look around. I'm an rpg player and I've found some rpgs for the 360 that made it more than worthwhile.

What does the wii have for rpgs? Fire emblem, nothing else.

What does ps3 have for rpgs? HA, dont even get me started.

x360 is where it's at for rpgs. oblivion, eternal sonata, lost odyssey, last remnant, infinite undiscovery, dark messiah, Enchanted arms, culdcept saga.

bring you a link? why don't you go watch inside xbox for once they say it for there self they trying to connect 360 to pc with games there two examples was halo 2 and WOW so ya also they said they be done late 2008 or ealy 2009 there go's your link the funny thing is its from microsft it's self not a fan site
