So, I had sold my last xbox shortly before BF3 came out. I had hundreds and hundreds of hours logged into Bad Company 2 and Geometry Wars 2 [mostly BC2 for hours every day]. I realized that BC2 was sucking up too much of my time and I wasn't too interested in many of the games that were out. At least I wasn't willing to spend money buying new games because the demo selection on XBL sucks and there are hardly any multiplayer demos. So, after this much time and watching tons of awesome BF3 videos, I decided to buy another xbox and BF3. Bad decision. BF3 is a huge let down from BC2 and it's very boring. I've never had a game that was so boring that I couldn't even find a reason to rage quit at least once. I've sunk alot of hours into BF3 in the past week just to see if it would get better as I mastered the maps but it's still just boring. Even after hitting rank 50 in BC2, I was still able to sink hundreds of hours and never get bored. [I will say that claymores on nashar canals TDM is alot of fun, but that's about it for me.. DiCE kind of messed up recon and turned it into nothing more than a sniper.. so many changes I don't like] I am here to see if any of you can help me find some inspiration to keep my 360. I still have 5 days to return it for a full refund. What are some games that I should try. I'm looking for games that have a strong multiplayer community. It doesn't have to be a shooter, but I would like a recommendation for one that is as amazing as BC2 if you can think of one. I don't think I'll buy any COD games, quakelive is a better arcade fps and it's free, so don't recommend those. Games I've tried recently are SSX and also I bought vanquish. SSX was a sad reboot from SSX on PS2.. very sad reboot. Vanquish is amazing but not enough to convince me to forget about the 300 dollars I spent on my xbox which I could use to upgrade my PC. Well BF3 was tailored more for the PC anyways, so it not being quite as good as BC2 on console makes a little sense. I loved the hell out of BC2 on my PS3, but couldn't get into BF3, especially since I have the PC version.
I'd say there are a crap ton of games: Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 2, Halo 4, Gears of War 3, Left 4 Dead 2, etc. You can just go on Metacritic.com and look at the top 100 for Xbox and take your pick and you can't go wrong.
There are plenty of games, you just have to look around :) here are some: Gears of War series Assassin's Creed series (keep in mind that the first one is a bit different to the others, but still great in my opinion) If you are in to these games - Guitar Hero and Rock Band are a lot of fun Saints Row series GTA IV along with Episodes (the online is fun on free roam too) Resident Evil 6 (coming out in a few months) It not be coming out for a long while, but if you get distracted with other games it's a long term game to look forward to. Tomb Raider (2013) It is in the fall where all the big games are coming out :).
