I notice one is 199, and not sure what the next one is? 250 for 20 gig? 20 gig not very big? what is the HD used for? how does the xbox connect to the internet? will it connect with a cable to my router? can the HD be put in later? what all hd's are compatible? how does the HD go in? are external hds allowed?? which one should I buy?

Jesus that's a lot of question...

1. Buy whichever 360 you can afford- really any that has an HDD with it.

2. 20GB is enough. You can upgrade later.

3. HDD is used to store demos, pictures, saves, videos...everything really.

4. You can operate the 360 without the HDD yes but you cannot save in games unless you buy a memory unit. So it's best just to get a 360 with an HDD.

5. Yes any HDD is compatible.

6. To put in the HDD it just goes on top of the 360. It's straight-forward.

7. The 360 connects to the internet either with a wired connection or with the Wireless Adapter.

8. Yes you can connect the 360 from your console to your router via an ethernet connection.

9. I don't know about external HDDs.

this^^^ Although if you can't afford a Pro, the Arcade ships with a 512MB memory card and wireless controller making it a good deal to since that's as much memory for saved games as the Wii has.

No external HDDs will not work and only 360 hard drive is compatible

I have the WII & the 360, I think the XBOX is the best of the 3 current gen consoles, the reason being it has more games than the other 2 systems. Plus almost all the good games on Playstation can be played on your PS2. I used to like Sony but seeing the lineup for the 2 systems most of their games are the same with the 360 the Wii is more for casual gaming.

The thread creater only owned a PS2 in the previous gen, so I don't think he was planning on playing Xbox games on the Xbox 360.

Why not? There are some original games that are not on the PS2.

8.5:Sadly priced at a horendous £60

9.5: You need to flash your console or w/e but tbh theres not much point unless you have knowledge of HDD's as it can cause damage, I don't think they are legal either.
