After playing some games at my friends for a bit, I've decided that I want to get a 360. One problem though, I've only tried it on a HDTV. I'm curious as to whether or not there's a significant change in graphics between the two types of moniters (regular and HD). Either way, I'll probably still get one.

Some people will try and tell you that there's no point even considering buying a 360 if you don't have a HDTV.
Let me make it clear: These people are just arragont idiots that want to make others feel bad because they're lucky enough to have a 50" 1080p Sony HDTV in their sitting room.

360s still look awesome on SDTVs. Also, I would say that SDTVs actually can look a little better than SOME HDs.

it'll look better on an HD set thats for sure. But that shouldn't affect your reasons for getting one. and LCDs are constantly dropping in price so you coudl get one of those too eventually

Ive played on an SD TV since I got it at launch and the games look great. It does pay to take some time to tweak your display settings on your TV to get the games to look their best. But other than that you should be fine. The game-play is still the same, and games that could not be done on last gen systems still look like games that could not be done on last gen systems.

As long as you don't get the core console, your putting your money to good use. But I've never played a PS3 so it's all you dude.

SD tv's are fine. The only noticable difference is..... you can actually read text on HD-Tv's. Blue Dragon and PGR3 text is way to small, and Dead Rising was just plain unreadable.

i use an sd but my friend has a HD, we've had them running side by side before and they both look great, but you can tell which one is the HD. although games with bad graphics can actually look better on sd, its less easy to notice the jags.

Go HD pal the difference is definitely noticeable, especially if your playing on a Sony X series LCD or a Pioneer Plasma.
