hi all

just got the game and im having a problem with the second boss (the 2 big blue worms). ive tried various strategies, from just going all out on the worm and ignoring the little bugs, to taking out the bugs and then going for the worm (and variations there of).

ive even tried buying loads of fire and aqua bombs to inflict extra damage (fire on the bugs and aqua on the worm of course). but this guy is giving me real problems. no matter how much i play defensively or offensively...i take a hiding. i can beat the first worm consistently....but then the second one comes with an instant paralyse attack and my health gets pretty low. then the enemies just grind me down, with the bugs usually casting that force atttack that does around 300 damage to really mess me up.

i cant heal enough for the damage i take in one round and if i try a couple of healing rounds then the worm recharges and my healing is for naught.

im level 17 but the game is very anti grinding by design so i dont cherish the idea of grinding my way up to level 18.

any suggestions would be helpful. is there anything that ppl commonly miss out on or anything like that?

thanks in advance.

make sure you use the spell prism with Jansen to get all the little bugs around the worm in one sweep (if not, then just finish them off). Then attack the worm.

No little bugs means an almost harmless worm. I took out the little guys first every time.

Put on anti-paralysis to your immortals, learn stand ready so as to keep your gc up and use a lot of power drinks.

For me, it was the hardest boss in the entire game.... im serious here.

right ill try that so. prisim on the bugs and ill use aqua bombs with seth and kaim while he charges that. then ill finish off the bugs while with the other 2 and attack the worm with jansen. ive tried prism before but it doesent take out any bugs in one hit.

thanks for the suggestions.

thats comforting to know :D. i would hate to think that any more bosses in the game would be this awkward. im no master at turn based battles mind (honestly im a bit crap...last one i played was FF8 i think :P).

ill try that too if other stuff doesent work. thanks :).

take out the little bugs as soon as possible

heal the party right before taking out the big first bug then use jansen to heal the party after the second big bug comes out
