So I got Lost odyssey a while back and I have been kind of hesitating to play it since it contains 4 discs (I didnt want to start a really long game and not be able to finish it). So I played it for about and hour or twoand noticed that there were a lot of cut scenes. Isthat why it is 4 discs or is it really that long?

It's around 40-60 hours but yes the cutscenes are why it has so many discs.

I honestly got bored by the time I played the 2nd disc. I found it to be really hard at times too....but then again I dont play those type of games much.

no it's four discs. i can pull out the case and count them all right now. three go where a disc normally goes and the 4th disc is in a white sleeve with the instruction manual.

Yeah, I was wrong. I just opened my case and I can see the fourth disc behind the instruction manual. I never noticed that fourth disc before.

Yeah it's mainly the cutscenes. The game's total length is average for a jrpg, although you can really stretch it out if you do the optional side quests.

Lol I find it hysterical you have to have 3 discs to play a game. 9 gig discs FTL

I find it funny that you need to laugh over something so strange.

So FFVIII had three discs and no one gave a flying flaming monkey that you had to go through three discs to play it. xD Go back to your jail cell. lol

It's hard for some people to switch a disc. It's truly sad when switching a disc becomes hard for people. I mean switching a disc every ten+ hours is SO hard! :P

Games have been on multiple disc for YEARS. Since your such a sony fanboy by the looks of it, I have tons of ps1 and ps2 games that had mutlple discs.

So really the only thing you are doing by posting this rubiish, is making yourself look bad.

Who on earth really has a problem with changing a disc once every few months. Its not like you change the disc every time you play the game or anything. Its once in a blue moon and once you change the disc thats it, no goign back to the first disc,etc..

Go back to the ps3 boards, I dont go over there and laugh at the fact that my ps3 is used more as a MOVIE/BLU RAY DVD player instead of a gaming system by myself and most my friends. Take your fanboyism to system wars, its not wanted here in the 360 board.

Took me 100+ hours to beat this game and I still want to go back and play through again to play the DLC and pick up the one achievement I missed.

Though I didnt think the characters were as interesting as some older JRPG's, its a really great game.

I am on the fourth disc and I have over 60 hours. Right now, I am finishing up side quests and treasure hunts before I continue with the main story. I am guessing a 100 hours for the game. I really liked disc three the best. I don't like cutscenes very much but this game they are great and I don't want to skip them. I am guessing because of the cutscenes there are four discs.
